One of our core values is to change our methods but never our message to reach the next generation. We believe a church is only healthy when we invest our time and resources, and give up our preferences, so that every child, teen, and young adult knows the love of God, is radically committed to following Jesus, and is empowered by His Spirit to live joyfully, generously, and courageously. Here’s where you come in: We are looking for someone who shares that same passion and wants to join us in creating safe, engaging, and Christ-centered environments where young people can grow in their faith. Here’s How We Will Support You: - Full-time status comes with benefits (health/dental/vision/disability) and 403b retirement contributions. - All pastoral staff members (full-time or part-time) receive vacation time, sick leave, personal time, and a monthly Spiritual Renewal Day. (Ask us about this if intrigued!) - Leadership development opportunities such as offsites, conferences, staff trainings, mentorship, and continuing education. Here’s What You’ll Do: - Lead RVCC Kids (birth–5th grade) at the Parkland campus in alignment with our vision of becoming a Jesus-focused, multiethnic, difference-making church. - Recruit, train, schedule, and care for RVCC Kids Difference Makers (our terminology for volunteers). - Build relationships with children, parents, and volunteers that foster a healthy ministry culture. - Plan and coordinate weekly environments, including classroom preparation, check-in, communication, and supplies. - Collaborate with the Graham Kids Pastor on curriculum, events, and ministry initiatives. - Oversee resources, budget, and all other administrative tasks related to RVCC Kids. - Work with the RVCC Students Pastor and RVCC Students Difference Makers to provide oversight for mid-week gatherings for Parkland Students (6th–12th grade). - Oversee the RVCC Young Adults group (ages 18–29), including leading gatherings, offsite events, and serving opportunities. - Provide pastoral care, encouragement, and prayer to children, students, young adults, families, and Difference Makers. - Partner with campus staff to run major yearly events. This Role Is for You If: - You are growing in your relationship with Jesus, and your life reflects the mission and values of His Kingdom. - You are actively a part of the local church and have a track record of serving. - You are passionate about reaching the next generation, helping families win, and creating a ministry that reflects the diversity of Christ’s body here in Parkland. - You have strong relational and administrative skills. You are not just a doer, but a leader, and you get excited about developing people and multiplying yourself. - You have experience working with kids (whether voluntarily or paid) and/or have an educational background that has prepared you for this role.
