Northside Christian Church is currently looking for Discipleship and Outreach Pastor. We are a growing multi-generational, multi-campus church averaging over 1100 in person attendance. Our main campus is in Wadsworth, OH and our second campus is in Medina, OH. Northside’s mission is to Love God, Serve Others and Win One. We desire to hire a dynamic leader with a bachelor’s degree in Bible & Theology and at least five years’ experience who is a model of Christian character (excellence, integrity, people driven, on mission). He will be the primary communicator and vision caster for all small groups, classes, and outreach events at our main campus. This individual will oversee our guest assimilation process and should also be able to preach as needed. The Discipleship and Outreach Pastor will have the opportunity to serve alongside a fantastic team of pastors and staff who work together well and enjoy making disciples who make disciples! Qualities · A model of Christian character · A vibrant leader among the staff and church body contributing to the church’s mission · A model of spiritually maturing discipleship as a member of Northside’s ministerial staff · A developer of people · Primary representative, strategy developer, implementer, equipper, and communicator for Small Groups and Adult Classes Roles · Fully equip small group and class leaders. This includes identifying, recruiting, coaching, and releasing gifted individuals to serve in these roles. · Champion the multiplication of small groups at NCC. This includes calling and emailing each first-time guest as well as delivering a gift bag (with handwritten note and gift card) weekly to them. · Create and oversee the assimilation process for discipleship. This includes pairing up new believers with spiritual parents who are willing and able to mentor them consistently. · Create and oversee outreach events in the local community that will be a blessing to the people and an invitation for them to get connected to NCC. · Effectively preach Biblical truth that engages, inspires, and equips those listening to live and love like Jesus at both campuses when needed. · Oversee the Connect Class. This includes providing appropriate teachers with the material, promoting effectively and leading it personally if needed. · Provide curriculum for small groups and classes. This includes purchasing and/or printing materials from various sources (RightNowMedia, LifeWay, Christianbook.com, etc.) · Develop and oversee the Intentional Discipleship Workshop. This includes providing appropriate teachers with the material, promoting effectively and leading it personally if needed. · Oversee both men’s and women’s ministry departments. This includes meeting with and planning out events for each group, providing necessary resources, and promoting events as needed so the men and women of NCC can be discipled. · Preparation and stewardship of Discipleship and Wadsworth Outreach budget so that resources are appropriately allocated. · Maintain harmonious relationships with other staff members, collaborating with them where and when needed.
