Built by someone who's been in the room
PastorWork.com was founded by Tim — a ministry leader, HR executive, and entrepreneur who understands church hiring from every angle.
Tim spent a decade in full-time ministry, from megachurches to church plants, before serving as Manager of Compensation, Payroll and Benefits at The Gideons International — a global Christian nonprofit with 140+ employees and 100+ international contractors. He led executive compensation reviews, built salary structures, and administered benefits programs for a workforce that spanned continents.
He holds an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor's in Organizational Leadership.
Why I built this
Most churches hire the way they've always hired — word of mouth, a post on the denomination bulletin board, maybe an ad on a general job site that gets buried under software engineer applications. The result is longer searches, weaker candidate pools, and missed opportunities.
PastorWork exists to fix that. A niche job board built specifically for ministry — backed by real salary data, denomination-specific resources, and a founder who understands church hiring from the inside.
