Lead Pastor

Renton Park Chapel

Renton, WA

Senior PastorFull-TimeOn-Site

Renton Park Chapel – Lead Pastor Position We are a church family prayerfully seeking our next lead pastor who will encourage us and lead us to be a church that is centered on God’s Word as we love one another and love our community growing to be fully devoted followers of Jesus. CHURCH OVERVIEW Our Church is a family of believers that is committed to the absolute authority of the Word of God and to following Jesus Christ in purity and holiness of heart and life. We believe that the direct fruit of a heart that has been transformed by the saving power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a life filled with love for God and compassion for those whom He loves. That is why we here at Renton Park Chapel seek to reach out to the needy and to the lost in order that we might honor Christ by joining with Him in the work He is doing in the world. We invite you to experience the fellowship of love we share as a family as we seek to reach our community (and the world) with the love of Christ. CHURCH VISION STATEMENT "Sharing the joy of hearing and doing God's Word" is the vision statement around which we center the life and ministries of Renton Park Chapel. We believe in the absolute authority of the Word of God and therefore make it our aim to discover and implement what the Word of God says in our daily lives as individuals and as a community. We support eight mission organizations and conduct a variety of seasonal mission projects throughout the year. CHURCH FACILITIES We are a small congregation that has approximately 50 members and regular attenders, with an average of 35 people in attendance on Sundays. We have a history of stability in pastors. Our pastor of eight and a half years is moving across the country to be near family. The pastor before him was here for twenty-six years before he retired. The church building is on one level with adequate classroom and office space. It is located between Renton Park Elementary School and Lindbergh High School. There is a parsonage located in a wooded area just east of the church building. LOCATION AND COMMUNITY Renton, Washington is a diverse and growing community just southeast of Seattle, located along the southern shore of Lake Washington. With a population of roughly 100,000, the city has roots in aerospace, manufacturing, and industry—most notably through Boeing—but today it is also known for technology, healthcare, retail, and a wide range of cultural communities. Residents enjoy access to parks, trails, and outdoor recreation, including the Cedar River corridor and Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park. Renton has a strong sense of local identity while still benefiting from proximity to Seattle, Bellevue, and SeaTac Airport. Community events such as Renton River Days, farmers markets, and neighborhood festivals help create a connected and active atmosphere. PASTORAL EXPECTATIONS This is a full-time salaried position. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience and credentials. The benefits and compensation package include the housing value of the provided parsonage, health insurance, and paid vacation days. The primary pastoral responsibilities are to follow the biblical definition of a pastor seen in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. We are hopeful to have a pastor with at least three years of pastoral experience. 1. Preacher/Teacher: Providing consistent, biblically faithful preaching and teaching that nurtures spiritual growth. 2. Above Reproach: Demonstrate Christlike character and integrity in both personal and public life. 3. Servant Leader: Lead with humility, equipping and guiding the congregation in its mission. 4. Total Church Ministry: The pastor ensures ministries are caring for the congregation. This includes sacraments, ceremonies, individual interactions, and ministries to the members of the congregation. 5. Organizational Administration: The pastor is responsible for oversight of administrative functions, ensuring that ministry operations are carried out effectively. 6. Reaching Out: The pastor is the champion for outreach and evangelism locally and globally as a response to the Great Commission. Ministry in the greater Seattle area can be a unique challenge since overall church attendance is lower than in other parts of the country. The pastor will have a heart for outreach to the many unchurched in the area, as well as a heart for shepherding a smaller congregation. Since Renton Park Chapel is part of the Pacific Conference, the expectation is that the pastor will be ordained or will pursue ordination with the Pacific Conference. The hiring process goes through the Conference office, and a yearly performance review is done with the Conference Superintendent and the local church’s Pastor-Parish Relations Committee. Outside of that review, the pastor is given the responsibility to care for the life and ministry of the congregation. Additional Information: www.rentonparkchapel.org www.ThePacificConference.com www.facebook.com/rentonparkchapel APPLICATION PROCESS Those who feel led and meet the desired qualifications should apply including: · Your resume. · A cover letter of not more than one page that includes your reasons for applying and how you heard about the position. · A video in digital format (links to videos, YouTube postings, a podcast, or DVD) of you delivering a sermon to a large group that best represents your preaching and teaching ability. Applications should be submitted electronically to jobs@thepacificconference.com Or mailed to: The Pacific Conference Attn: Superintendent Brian Hotrum 11501 SE Sunnyside Road, Suite 200 Clackamas, OR 97015 The Pacific Conference office will follow up with applicants.

$35,000 - $45,000

OSCEOLA COMMUNITY CHURCH PASTOR SEARCH COMMITTEE JOB PROFILE Characteristics of St. Clair County and Osceola, Missouri: Osceola, Missouri, serves as the county seat of St. Clair County and is located along the Osage River Arm of Harry S. Truman Lake in west-central Missouri. The city occupies a small area of land of just under one square mile, with a modest portion of water included in its boundaries. Its landscape reflects the broader region’s rural character, marked by rolling hills, timber, waterways, and agricultural land. The surrounding county encompasses nearly 675 square miles, offering a wide expanse of open space, farmland, and natural features typical of the Karst-influenced, Missouri Ozarks transition zone. The area has a rich heritage of outdoor activities available with approximately 10,000 acres of Truman Lake and 40,000 acres of public lands in St. Clair and surrounding counties. Demographically, Osceola is a small community of roughly 955 residents as of recent estimates. The population is predominantly White, with smaller percentages of Black, Hispanic, and multiracial populations. The median age in Osceola is approximately 43.6, slightly younger than the county overall, and the median household income is around $32,245. The city experiences a relatively high poverty rate, with more than 30% of residents living below the poverty line. St. Clair County has a population of approximately 9,752, giving it a very low population density of about 14 people per square mile. The county’s demographic profile leans older, with a median age of 47.2, and remains overwhelmingly White, with small percentages of Black, Native American, and Hispanic residents. Median household income in the county is roughly $43,483, and about 19.8% of residents live below the poverty line. The county’s rural character, aging population, and modest economic indicators shape much of its social and economic landscape, influencing community life, local institutions, and the expectations placed on civic and religious leadership. Osceola offers many of the essential amenities that support both daily life and meaningful community connection. The town is home to a public library, a K–12 school, a local grocery store and a selection of family-owned coffee shops and restaurants. Community life is further enriched by an active Chamber of Commerce, a thriving Optimists Club, and a cooperative Ministerial Alliance that fosters unity among local churches. Within a 30-minute drive, families also have access to two private Christian school options. Numerous small, family-owned businesses contribute to Osceola’s character, reflecting a strong sense of local pride, entrepreneurship, and neighborly support. A sample of local businesses include: Osceola Cheese, Ace Lumber & Hardware, Carney’s Grocery, Dollar General, Scott’s Furniture, Bills Barber & Style, Higgins Propane and Harper’s Service Station with many other businesses on the square and in the city. Restaurants: Sugar Foot BBQ (delicious meats), La Casita (Mexican Cuisine) Amish Trading Post (burgers & ice cream) Medical Facilities: CMH Osceola (Healthcare Center & Walk-In Clinic), Golden Valley Memorial (Healthcare & Clinic) Banks: St. Clair County State Bank, Hawthorne Bank. Osceola Community Church: Past and Present The Founding of Osceola Community Church Osceola Community Church’s history began in the late 1970’s, when God placed a burden on Jack and Leda Kiefer’s hearts to restore the old, abandoned Presbyterian church building in Osceola. With the help of friends, neighbors, and generous contributions, the building was repaired, cleaned, and rededicated for the Lord’s service on December 18, 1977. From its very beginning, OCC was established as a non-denominational church, warmly welcoming all who wished to join. The church has never incurred debt, relying instead on God’s provision and the faithful generosity of its people. Growth and Ministry Expansion As the congregation grew (we have 125 regularly attend Sunday worship), the church expanded its facilities, building additions in 1979 and 1985 to provide more space for fellowship and Sunday School. Osceola Community Church has always had a strong heart for missions, offering prayer, encouragement, and financial support to workers around the world. Leadership Through the Years In the church’s early years, Pastor Jack led the congregation with dedication until health concerns required him to step back. In 1991, Greg Mangum—who had been involved with OCC since its beginning—was ordained and became the church’s pastor. Brother Greg faithfully shepherded the church for more than three decades, recognized for his devotion to God’s Word, his service to the community, and his care for people both inside and outside the church. He led until his passing in October 2023. Following Pastor Greg’s passing, Karry Phillips, a Gideon and member who had been filling the pulpit during Pastor Greg’s health struggles, was called to become OCC’s third pastor in late 2023. Pastor Phillips’ inspiring leadership and vision were essential to the church during a time of transition. Pastor Karry unexpectedly passed away in December 2025, leaving a lasting positive impact on our church. Our Enduring Mission Through both seasons of growth and times of loss, the mission of Osceola Community Church has remained unchanged: to preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to welcome all who come, and to give God the glory in all things. Senior Pastor

New Horizons Church

Kelso, WA

Senior PastorFull-TimeOn-Site

ABOUT OUR CHURCH: Church Doctrine: Comparable to The Assemblies of God, but the Church style/format is closest to Calvary Chapel. We are predominantly a teaching church that is Word-Centered. Church Debt: The church is fully out of debt with a healthy savings account for our size. Church Building: Very maintained. Church Size: Our general attendance for a monthly average is of 140-145. We average 25 to 30 children monthly. Staff: The two current, full-time staff members will stay on with the new Senior Pastor: Non-negotiable! The reasoning for this is to allow the Pastor to spend his time in studying and prayer, and to allow him to be more of a shepherd to the people without the weight of the daily Church function details. a) The Ministry Director is the Pastor's Assistant keeping tabs on the people and informing him of those in need, prayer requests, visitation and senior needs. She is also in charge of volunteer oversight, as well as discipleship, church ministries, new members and attendance information, missions oversight, children's dept oversight, etc. Her number one job is to help the Pastor carry out his vision for the church and people. b) The Church Administrator, who is also the Music Director, runs all the finances and keeps the Pastor and the Church Board apprised to how the church is doing financially. She is also in charge of the church maintenance by getting bids and getting the help needed when things need to be fixed. Senior Pastor Roles: a) Spends time in prayer, and study in order to feed the congregation weekly. b) As the Executive Pastor, all major decisions must pass by him for approval.
