Our Area – Angola is a town within Steuben County Indiana with a population of just over 9,000 residents. It is the home of Trine University. Steuben County has 101 lakes and is a great vacation town with tons of things to do. We are also only 45 minutes from Fort Wayne. Our Church – Founded in 1992, SonLight Community Church is part of the FEC, Fellowship of Evangelical Churches. We are a church of 180 and growing. We have a growing Children's ministry and we feel God is bringing SonLight to the next level and our next children's ministry coordinator will be a vital part of that. This is a Part-Time salaried position. These hours include, but are not limited to: - Sunday mornings (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) - Wednesday evenings (when Wednesday night programs are in session) - At least one day per week in the office for staff meetings - Special church events and services, including Christmas, Easter, and other ministry activities as needed. Below are the responsibilities and qualifications the church has identified for this role: Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the ministries of children and youth from Birth-5th grade. - Evaluate overall children’s ministry Sunday morning format. - Help grow church attendance by creating and implementing a strategy that draws families into the church through children’s ministry. - Pray for, recruit, lead, observe, evaluate, develop and encourage teams of volunteers so that they are operating in their strengths, growing in areas of weakness and being most effective in their roles. Position Summary This provides leadership, vision, and oversight for Children’s Ministry at Grace Church at Willow Valley.
