Anchor Point Church is a growing, faith-based community, located in Lake Stevens, WA, dedicated to serving God and His people. We are currently seeking a Youth Pastor to join our church community. We are a church plant based in Lake Stevens. Currently, we meet at the local middle school but we have plans to develop our property a few blocks away. This is a great opportunity to build a youth program at the ground level. The Youth Pastor should help the church fulfill its calling to minister to youth. Youth Pastors should do this by being strong leaders in the youth ministry and by training youth volunteers to serve in the church. The youth pastor should also be involved in the community of Lake Stevens, looking for ways to serve our city and reach youth that are far from God. This is a part-time OR full time position. It really depends on the candidate. It may seem strange to include both, but we've had college seniors reach out, along with those that want to stay bi-vocational, as well as those wanting to be in full time vocational ministry. The right candidate will determin the nature of the position. Salary range: $25-$55K/yr Youth Pastor Requirements: - Evident relationship with Jesus Christ. - Previous youth ministry experience is an advantage. - Proficient understanding of challenges and needs of young people. - Be active in the local school districts as well as youth related community events to build connections with new students and families. - Excellent computer skills, and proficiency with social media. - Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written. - Excellent organizational skills. - Affinity for young people. - Ability to lead by example. - Available to work extended hours, evenings, over weekends and public holidays, and on short notice. - “Fluid” mindset that isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and help the team. The following are some of the duties and responsibilities a Youth Pastor should be able to execute: - Attending and participating in staff meetings. - Be engaging, relevant and fun. - Growing, developing and coordinating the church's youth ministry. - Designing, overseeing, and examining curriculum for all programs, events, and classes. - Interacting with students during Sunday services. - Developing positive relationships with students and their parents. - Sharing program plans through social media. - Displaying a Christ-like approach and lifestyle, and praying regularly for young people in the church and community. - Incorporating and encouraging youth to serve in various church ministries. - Growing students who are interested in the knowledge of God and His Word. - Recruit and train volunteers to help you accomplish your goals in youth ministry.
