You’ll work closely with the Lead Pastor and a committed group of volunteers to help shape the rhythm and culture of the church. We’re looking for someone who loves the local church, enjoys working on a team, and is energized by seeing people encounter Jesus and grow in their faith. Student Ministry Support - Join what God is already doing through Calvary’s student ministry, serving alongside our current Student Ministry Leader to strengthen, support, and expand the work already in motion. - Provide pastoral presence and partnership, helping shape vision and direction while empowering students to grow as disciples who love and follow Jesus. - Encourage and equip our Student Ministry Leader and volunteer team through mentorship, prayer, and collaboration. - Be a visible and relational presence at student gatherings, retreats, and events to come alongside, invest, and multiply impact. - Bring creativity, energy, and heart to help students find their place in God’s story and in the mission of Calvary. Connections and Community Life - Oversee Calvary’s connections pathway, helping guests and attendees take meaningful next steps toward belonging and discipleship. - Lead and come alongside volunteer serve teams to create a warm, welcoming environment on Sundays and at church events. - Collaborate with staff and ministry leaders to strengthen hospitality, follow-up, and assimilation. - Support and help facilitate groups and other opportunities that foster community and spiritual growth. - Encourage a leadership pipeline by identifying and mentoring potential lay leaders; empower them to own specific hospitality/assimilation initiatives. Qualifications - A deep love for Jesus and the local church. - A growing relationship with Christ marked by prayer, humility, and obedience. - A heart for worship and a desire to shepherd others into God’s presence. - Relational and approachable, with the ability to connect across generations. - Experience in worship leadership and/or student ministry. - Skilled vocally and/or instrumentally, with the ability to lead a band effectively. - A team player who contributes to a local church team. - Proficient (or willing to learn) in tools such as ProPresenter, Planning Center, and Google Workspace. - Bachelor’s degree preferred; theological or ministry training preferred. - Licensed or willing to pursue licensure with the Christian and Missionary Alliance. - Must be able to pass a background check. Commitment: - Active participation in staff meetings, 1:1s with the Lead Pastor, and church gatherings. - Visible presence and engagement on Sundays and at key church events. - Investment in personal spiritual growth and leadership development. - Embody and champion Calvary’s mission, vision, and values within the church and community.
