Sinking Creek is the oldest church of any faith in the state of Tennessee. Founded in 1772, the original log church still exists and has recently been fully restored. We are a congregation of around 300-350. Located in the east Tennessee mountains, we are about an hour drive from Asheville, Knoxville, about 25 from Bristol Raceway, and a 15-20 minute drive from three lakes. The position is currently a part-time position but could be full-time to an ordained candidate who could serve as an associate pastor in charge of worship with some occasional preaching responsibilities. We prefer a blended style of worship and seek someone who is comfortable leading in a congregational setting as well as a youth/college setting. Sinking Creek Baptist Church Staffing Expectations Worship Minister Job Description: The Worship Leader is expected to have a God-focused heart, centered in obedience to the Holy Spirit, striving to bring the congregation into a state of meaningful worship.
