This leader will: - Build a clear, compelling discipleship pathway from kids → students → young adults - Develop leaders, not just run programs - Create environments where young people don’t just attend - but are transformed Key Responsibilities Lead Student & Young Adult Ministries (Primary Focus) Directly oversee Junior High, High School, and Young Adult ministries - Teach regularly in student environments - Build strong, gospel-centered, high-energy gatherings - Develop leadership pipelines within students and young adults - Create outreach strategies to reach unchurched students in a rapidly growing community Oversee Children’s Ministry (through leadership already in place) - Lead the Children’s Director (Birth–6th Grade) - Ensure alignment in vision, culture, and discipleship strategy - Provide coaching, accountability, and support - not micromanagement - Ensure excellence, safety, and spiritual effectiveness in all kids’ environments Build a Unified Next Gen Strategy - Create a seamless transition from: - Kids → Junior High → High School → Young Adults - Establish clear discipleship milestones at every stage - Partner with parents to equip them as primary disciplers - Ensure all environments reflect Flipside’s culture of: - Excellence - Energy - Biblical depth - Leadership development Raise Up Leaders - Recruit, train, and develop volunteer leaders at every level - Build teams that don’t depend on you - but multiply through others - Identify and mentor future ministry leaders What We’re Looking For Character - Deep, growing relationship with Jesus - High integrity and emotional maturity - Loves students and young adults - but doesn’t pander to them Calling - Clear calling to Next Gen ministry - Burden to reach the next generation, not just entertain them Competency - Proven ability to build and lead teams - Strong communicator and teacher - Strategic thinker who can build systems, not just events - Able to lead leaders (i.e. provide oversight to the Children’s Ministry Director) Chemistry - High energy, high ownership, low ego - Team player who thrives in a fast-moving, growing environment - Takes initiative Wins in This Role - Students and young adults are coming to Christ and growing in real discipleship - Leaders are being developed and multiplied - Clear progression exists from kids → students → young adults - Parents feel equipped, not replaced - Ministry is growing in both depth and reach What Success Looks Like (Plain and Simple) You don’t just run a Next Gen program.
