The Role We are seeking a dynamic, high-capacity Pastor with a calling to serve as our Worship & Technology Director. This role is designed for a gifted musician with a "heart for worship" who can lead a stage with excellence while managing the technical infrastructure that carries our message to our local and online congregations. As a Worship Director at Pointe North, is going to need to be driven, highly organized, and relationship-focused – a natural leader. In this position, perfection is not expected, but excellence is. This idea of excellence is to be modeled, taught, and reproduced through every team the Worship Director oversees. The ideal candidate is a developer of people who doesn’t just "do" ministry, but recruits, trains, and reproduces excellence in others. The worship pastor will work in partnership with other leadership to help the church fulfill their purposes to love God, love others, and change the world. Qualifications The qualifications for the worship pastor at Malvern Hill Baptist Church include: - a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a call to church ministry. Oversight - The worship pastor reports directly to the senior pastor. Work Schedule The worship pastor is a salaried member of the church staff working a full-time (40+ hours) schedule with flexible hours. The nature of the worship pastor position will require evening and weekend work hours. Responsibilities Worship and Music The worship pastor is responsible: - for worship service planning and preparation, in conjunction with the senior pastor. - to raise up and train volunteers as are necessary to facilitate healthy worship services.
