Charter Oak Church is seeking to hire a Campus Pastor at our Jeannette Campus, a thriving campus located in the heart of Jeannette, PA. The Campus Pastor provides pastoral, operational, and leadership oversight for a specific Charter Oak Church campus by executing the church’s vision, leading the local congregation, and ensuring effective ministry, care, and engagement within their campus. This role champions the mission and culture of Charter Oak Church while contextualizing ministry to their local community. Key Responsibilities 1.Modeling Biblical Priorities Is responsible for upholding Biblical priorities and Essentials Beliefs of Charter Oak Church. The Campus Pastor should represent a growing personal relationship with Jesus, model a strong relationship with his or her spouse (if married) and children (if applicable), strive to fulfill his or her purpose in life and ministry while demonstrating integrity in words, relationships, and actions. These objectives are accomplished by: - Commit to daily prayer, Bible study, and weekly corporate worship. - Participate in a small group on a regular basis. - Be a disciple maker by investing and loving unchurched neighbors. - Give generously to the work of God at Charter Oak Church. - Join a team that seeks to alleviate poverty locally, nationally, or internationally. - Set appropriate boundaries to protect character and integrity. - Adhere to the qualities and characteristics required of Charter Oak Church employees, as defined by the Staff Handbook. 2.Campus Leadership and Vision Execution Ensure the vision, mission, and culture of Charter Oak Church are effectively carried out at the campus level by leading the congregation, aligning ministries and teams, and executing church-wide direction within the local context. - Champion and implement the vision, mission, convictions, and strategic direction of Charter Oak Church at the campus level - Translate church-wide vision into effective local ministry execution - Ensure alignment with the Core while contextualizing for the campus - Lead campus-level planning and ministry initiatives - Manage campus budget 3.Pastoral Leadership and Care Cultivate a congregation that is spiritually cared for, connected, and shepherded by providing pastoral leadership, fostering relational engagement, and overseeing effective care and discipleship systems at the campus level. - Serve as the primary shepherd of the campus congregation - Oversee pastoral care, counseling, crisis response, and member support - Ensure systems are in place for care, follow-up, and spiritual growth - Be visible, accessible, and relationally engaged within the campus community 4.Staff and Volunteer Leadership Build and lead healthy, aligned, and empowered staff and volunteer teams by developing leaders, fostering accountability, and creating a culture that advances the mission and convictions of Charter Oak Church at the campus level. - Lead, develop, and care for campus staff and key volunteer leaders - Build healthy teams aligned with church culture and staff values - Recruit, train, and empower volunteers for ministry effectiveness - Provide regular coaching, feedback, and accountability 5.Culture Champion Cultivate and reinforce a healthy, unified campus culture by modeling the convictions of Charter Oak Church, fostering relational health, and ensuring alignment with the mission and culture of the broader church. - Model and reinforce the culture and convictions of Charter Oak Church - Ensure consistency of culture while expressing it authentically in the local context - Address cultural or relational issues within the campus - Foster unity with the broader church 6.Weekend Experience and Ministry Execution Ensure the campus delivers a consistent, engaging, and mission-aligned ministry experience by leading effective weekend services, coordinating ministry execution, and fostering excellence across all campus environments. - Ensure excellence in the weekend experience and all campus ministries - Oversee service flow, environment, and execution - Partner with central teams (worship, production, kids, etc.) for alignment and quality - Support and reinforce the teaching direction of the Lead Pastor - Host and support the Lead Pastor during campus visits, while maintaining primary responsibility for the leadership and care of the campus. 7.Teaching and Communication Ensure the campus maintains a strong and aligned teaching culture by delivering effective communication, developing communicators, and reinforcing the theological and directional priorities of Charter Oak Church. - Serve as a primary communicator at the campus, as part of the campus teaching team - Deliver biblically aligned, high-quality messages consistent with the church’s teaching direction - Collaborate with the Lead Pastor on teaching alignment, preparation, and development - Identify and develop local communicators (including volunteers where applicable) - Ensure all campus communicators align with church theology, culture, and communication standards - Identify, develop, and deploy campus-level communicators in alignment with church-wide teaching standards 8.Leadership Relationship and Alignment Cultivate strong alignment and collaboration between the campus and the broader church by supporting the vision, direction, and leadership of Charter Oak Church while contributing to unified decision-making and ministry execution across all campuses. - Reports to and is led by the Lead Pastor - Operates with high alignment to central vision, teaching, and culture - Collaborates with other Campus Pastors, Central Team and Expansion Team leaders - Participates in church-wide leadership meetings and initiatives Please submit your resume and letter of interest to [Kristi Fellers](mailto:kfellers@charteroak.church), Executive Assistant to the Lead Pastor. Located just east of Pittsburgh, we are a financially stable church with a rich history, a heart for biblical teaching, and a growing passion for serving the community. Our pastor of 16 yrs retired, and we are now being pastored by an interim minister. Our congregation is biblically focused on prayer, friendly, and committed to helping people grow as disciples of Christ. One of our signature ministries is our Diaper Ministry [Love in Every Diaper], a community outreach that has provided over 350,000 diapers over the past decade. This ministry takes place monthly and provides families with infants and young children with diapers and related items. Position Summary This provides leadership, vision, and oversight for Children’s Ministry at Grace Church at Willow Valley. This role ensures that children are discipled in a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment, through equipping volunteers and supporting families. This person will work closely with pastoral staff, ministry leaders, volunteers, and parents to align children’s discipleship with the mission and values of the church. Relationships To the Associate Pastor of Ministries: Reports directly for supervision, guidance, and accountability. To the Staff: Collaborates with staff to integrate children’s discipleship into the broader mission of the church. To Ministry Leaders and Volunteers: Recruits, equips, and supports volunteers to faithfully serve in children’s ministry programs. To Parents and Families: Communicates consistently about Children’s Ministry opportunities, providing encouragement and resources to support discipleship at home. To Congregants and Guests: Extends hospitality to children and families, especially new or visiting families.
