We are seeking a Children's Ministry Director for our vibrant and welcoming congregation. Position Summary The Children’s Ministry Director provides vision, leadership, and oversight for the church’s ministry to children from nursery through elementary age. This role creates a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered environment where children can grow in faith, families feel supported, and volunteers are equipped to serve effectively. Key Responsibilities - Develop and lead age-appropriate ministry programs, lessons, and special events for children. - Grow all children’s programs through community involvement and development and implementation of annual personal and ministry plans. - Recruit, train, schedule, and encourage volunteers serving in children’s ministry. - Ensure all classrooms, activities, and procedures support a safe and secure environment for children. - Partner with parents by providing regular communication, resources, and support for spiritual growth at home. - Oversee Sunday programming, volunteer scheduling, event planning, seasonal events, and outreach opportunities. - Monitor and support the spiritual and relational health of volunteers and families. - Select, organize, or adapt curriculum that aligns with the church’s beliefs and ministry goals. - Manage ministry records, attendance, supplies, and budget needs. - Work collaboratively with pastors, staff, and ministry leaders to support the overall mission of the church. - Welcome new families and help children connect meaningfully into the life of the church. - Evaluate ministry effectiveness and recommend improvements for growth and impact. - Work with Community Children’s Director to provide lessons for preschool children. - Support MomCo group with curriculum, agenda, activity and communication. - Other duties as assigned. This includes planning and structuring worship experiences, teaching, small groups, and fun elements. - Implement a comprehensive discipleship program for youth. - Serve as the primary teaching voice while growing a team of diverse voices to communicate the gospel. - Lead various events, retreats, and mission opportunities throughout the year for students to grow their faith. Follow Church, a multicultural, intergenerational community of believers on the west side of Lansing, Michigan, is seeking a Worship Pastor/Director. Since its inception in 2000, our non-denominational church has experienced several seasons of growth, with more people than ever joining us following a substantial expansion and remodel of our building. With thriving ministries for kids, youth, and young adults, we know our reach goes beyond our weekly gatherings. God is on the move in our area, and we are excited to see how He will continue to use our community through it all! We have two services on Sunday mornings, but offer the same experience at both. The Worship Leader works closely with the Lead Pastor to coordinate all elements of the services. As our Sunday morning attendance has increased, so has our diversity. The Worship Leader needs to cultivate a worship experience that reflects the intergenerational and multi-cultural community by building on the foundation already in place and driving a vision for where God is calling us to grow in new expressions of worship. This is intended as a full-time position with a salary range of $40,000 to $50,000 (commensurate with education and experience), plus retirement benefits. We are open to a range of 20-40 hours per week for the right candidate if they prefer to work fewer hours while still meeting the general demands of the position.
