The Church on the Hill (TCOTH) Worship Leader is a full-time position tasked with planning, preparing for, and leading weekly worship service that promotes Spirit Led worship. The leader proclaims an uncompromised message of the Gospel. You will develop and lead a Jesus-centered worship and prayer culture. The Worship Leader will shepherd the Body of Christ into worship, and oversee the health and development of all worship team members, musicians, and technical personnel. (Psalm 63:3 because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you) QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES - Clear testimony that aligns with the mission of The Church on the Hill. - Agrees with beliefs, vision, and doctrinal statements of the Church on the Hill. - Trustworthy Leader - Ministry degree preferred but not required - Experienced in planning, preparing, and leading worship services (music, instruments, vocals, order of service) - Experience with the use of technology in worship (lighting, sound, worship software, video, and stage setup) - Personal passion for both prayer and worship. Ephesians 6:18 - Strong emotional quality of self-awareness, empathy toward others, and openness to direction and guidance - Manage projects and provide group training - Communicate and share God’s Word effectively in all settings and during worship - Competent in or can gain quick competence in software and media - Proficient in one or more instruments in the worship band - Promotes positivity and quality - Manage and mediate conflict Matthew 18:15-17 RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead the congregation in worship, direct the flow and elements of service - Develop weekly order of service and coordination with sound, video, vocals, and band - Direct weekly rehearsals in preparation for Sunday worship - Seek and develop new music to be introduced to the congregation and future services - Recruit/ develop/ disciple and include new musicians, singers, and tech team members - Developing a yearly budget for music Ministry to be presented to the Elder Board - Engage in the body of Christ as an active member, by seeking and joining connection groups such as Bible study, prayer meetings, and community service in conjunction with TCOTH values - Collaborate with the lead Pastor COMPENSATION: - This is a full-time position with a salary based on education and years of experience - PTO- (14 Paid holidays, up to 2 weeks’ vacation and sick time) - Bonus opportunities (funeral, wedding, special events)
