Crestwood United Methodist Church Youth & Young Adult Minister (Full-Time, 40 hours/week) Crestwood, Kentucky Crestwood United Methodist Church is a growing and welcoming congregation located just outside Louisville, Kentucky, averaging 275 in worship. We are passionate about nurturing faith in the next generation and are committed to vibrant, relational ministry with youth and young adults. We are seeking a caring, energetic leader who feels called to walk alongside students and young adults as they grow in their relationship with Christ, build community, and live out their faith through service. Position Overview The Youth & Young Adult Minister provides leadership for ministries serving youth (grades 6–12) and young adults (ages 18–29). This person works under the supervision of the Senior Pastor and in collaboration with church staff and volunteers. Together, we seek to create welcoming spaces where young people experience belonging, spiritual growth, and opportunities to serve. Current Weekly Programming - Sunday Small Groups (10:00–11:00 AM) - Sunday Youth Group (5:00–7:00 PM) - Wednesday Youth Group (5:30–7:45 PM) - Thursday Young Adult Gathering (6:00–8:00 PM) Key Responsibilities - Build Christ-centered relationships with youth and young adults - Recruit, equip, and encourage volunteers in ministry leadership - Plan and lead weekly gatherings for middle school, high school, and young adults - Grow a young adult ministry, including Sunday morning and weekly evening - opportunities - Coordinate mission projects, service opportunities, and outreach events - Plan retreats, seasonal events, and summer mission experiences - Partner with the Senior Pastor to lead confirmation classes - Maintain regular communication with students, parents, and the congregation - Attend school and community events to support students - Supervise interns and volunteers - Participate in worship and collaborate with church staff and leadership Qualifications - A strong and growing Christian faith and commitment to the mission of the United - Methodist Church - Passion for youth and young adult ministry - Ability to build authentic relationships with students and families - Experience in youth ministry, education, or related field preferred - Strong communication and organizational skills - Ability to recruit and lead volunteers - Creative, flexible, and collaborative team member - Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required Compensation & Benefits - Salary: $30,000–$40,000 (based on experience) - Housing Provided: $12,000–$24,000 estimated value - Insurance Stipend: $300/month - Retirement Contribution: 3% - Total Compensation Package: $45,600–$67,600 To Apply Email your resume and cover letter to derek@crestwoodmethodist.com Subject line: Youth and Young Adults
