Job type: Summit Church is currently seeking a full-time pastor whose primary focus will be youth ministry, but who is able to perform other pastoral duties within the church. Church size: average weekly in-person attendance of 325. Compensation: Full-time: $50,000 per year salary/housing allowance plus benefits (health insurance, retirement, FICA offset.) This is adjustable depending on education and experience. Church Description: Summit Church is a multigenerational church that seeks to reach Southwest Boise with the gospel. Our vision is “making lifelong followers of Jesus who become more like Him every day.” We use a spiritual formation model of discipleship built around 3 components: practicing 5 spiritual disciplines, connecting to a small group, and reaching others with the gospel. We currently have around 35-40 students in our church with 20-25 attending each week. Job description and responsibilities: - The Youth Pastor will oversee all ministry to Middle School and High School students at Summit Church. - Youth Pastor will develop a strategy for discipling students at Summit Church that is consistent with the overall vision and strategy for the church. The Youth Pastor will have freedom to design the programming according to his gifts. - The Youth Pastor will oversee the Youth Budget. - The Youth Pastor will recruit and train a team of volunteers to serve in youth ministry. - While youth is the primary focus of this position, this pastor will also have the opportunity to perform a variety of other pastoral duties like preaching, counseling, or providing oversight to other ministries within the church. These duties will be assigned by the Lead Pastor and will depend on the gifts and skills of person who is called to serve. - The Youth Pastor will report to the Lead Pastor.
