Job Responsibilities & Duties - Lead and Coordinate All Worship Services – Plan, prepare, and lead multigenerational worship services that engage the congregation through biblically grounded worship, incorporating hymns, contemporary worship songs, and newer worship expressions while maintaining theological soundness consistent with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000 fostering a worship environment that encourages active congregational participation and Christ-centered worship. - Lead Worship Teams Rehearsals – Coordinate and lead rehearsals with musicians, vocalists, choirs, orchestra, and other worship teams in a way that promotes musical excellence, spiritual encouragement, and unity. - Collaborate with and Recruit Worship Team Members – Work closely with, and recruit, develop, and shepherd worship ministry members (musicians, choir, orchestra, tech team, etc.…) to ensure seamless coordination during services. - Coordinate with Production/Tech Team – Collaborate with audio, lighting, visual, and production teams to ensure all technical aspects of worship work effectively. - Oversee Worship Ministry Calendar/Budgets/Events – Provide leadership and oversight to the worship ministry through strategic planning, calendaring, budgeting, and coordination of worship-related events (Golden Isles Christmas, Children’s Choirs, etc.…). - Invest in the Next Generation – Through ministries designed to promote worship in college, youth, and kids’ ministries. - Serve Together with Sr. Pastor and Staff – Participate in weekly meetings, maintain regular office hours, and work alongside the pastor and staff in leading people from where they are to where God wants them to be. - Provide Member Care to the Worship Ministry – Provide pastoral care to the worship ministry, as well as the entire church, whenever needed. This includes, but not limited to, hospital visits, funerals, weddings, and other life events. General Requirements - Spiritually Mature – A deep and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ. - Doctrinally Aligned – Agreement with our statement of beliefs, the Baptist Faith & Message 2000. - Ministry Experience – Previous worship ministry leadership experience in a local church setting is preferred, particularly within a multigenerational ministry environment. - Musical Competency – Demonstrated ability to lead vocally and musically with excellence, including proficiency in worship leadership, service planning, and team development. - Excellent Communication Skills – Strong organizational and communication skills as well as excellent written/spoken verbal skills. - A Servant Leader – Models his leadership after Jesus. - Works Well with Others – Must exhibit a willingness to work with others, maintain a humble spirit, and be a team player. - Education – A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Gordon Heights Baptist Church located in Cairo, GA is seeking a Student Ministries Pastor to join our ministry team. We are committed to being an evangelistic church that reaches all neighbors, all nations, and all generations with the gospel. As the Student Ministries Pastor, you will oversee the individual spiritual growth of the students and children within the ministry at Gordon Heights. This starts from before they begin a relationship with Jesus in Pre-k, through their continual maturity as they graduate high school. The Student Ministries Pastor role includes leading our Youth, and Children’s Ministries. The Student Ministries Pastor must be relatable to the students and children with an emphasis on guiding, teaching, and growing their love for Christ and others while living a life of grace and modeling responsibility and accountability while focusing on building relationships with them and their parents. You would be directly responsible for leading students in 6th – 12th grade in weekly Bible studies, taking students to a summer camp, leading students in local mission opportunities, and other activities/events that serve as a bridge to reach students in the community with the gospel and connect them to the church. You would be responsible for our children’s ministry as well. You would lead an already established team of Children’s Ministry Volunteers and give guidance where needed. Would plan and coordinate camps, VBS, and other activities throughthe year. T he Student Ministries Pastor role will be to work with all parents to help them disciple their students and kids and attempt to minister to unchurched/unbelieving parents. The Student Ministries Pastor will work with volunteers in the student and childrens ministries to ensure a safe, healthy, and fun environment. You must model strong and relational Christian leadership. You must also have a passion for Jesus, excellent communication skills, and desire to help others know and follow Jesus. This role will work closely with the Senior Pastor in many ministry areas. You also must be able to fill the pulpit in the absence of the pastor. Our church is Southern Baptist in values and doctrine. We adhere to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. We run 100+ in worship attendance and presently have a good core group of active youth and children. We are seeking a called energetic individual with a passion and calling for ministry in this area who desires to grow.
