Cornerstone Church Athens is hiring a Social/Digital Media Coordinator to further our mission through strategic social media and digital communication. This position focuses on content creation, platform management, and digital storytelling helping those who follow Cornerstone online better understand who we are, what we believe, and how God is moving in our church and community. Time Commitment This is a full-time position requiring a flexible schedule, including weekends and special events throughout the week. Social/Digital Responsibilities - Manage Cornerstone Church Athens social media accounts and provide guidance to other ministry accounts as needed - Create and design engaging content (posts, stories, reels, etc.) while staying current with trends and platform updates - Produce real-time social media content on Sundays (IG/FB stories, recap posts, etc.) - Capture photo and video content during services and events; develop and lead a photography/content team with weekly shot lists - Collaborate on and help implement creative strategies for digital growth and engagement - Build, train, and lead a team of social media volunteers - Monitor messages and engage appropriately through direct communication channels - Design graphics for web, app, events, and promotional materials - Produce weekly deliverables (social media posts, announcement slides, signage, web graphics, print materials, etc.) - Develop and manage digital ad campaigns (Facebook, Instagram, Google, etc.) - Organize and maintain media assets on a NAS server - Help create and design Cornerstone Church Athens merchandise - Manage and update content for the church website and app - Coordinate communication and information distribution among team members - Create and develop a Marketing Strategy for the church - Train and develop interns Skills/Qualifications - Personal faith in Jesus Christ and agreement with Cornerstone’s Statement of Faith - Member of Cornerstone Church, or willing to become a member - Alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Cornerstone Church Athens - Availability for weekend services, meetings, and special events - 3–5+ years of experience in social media and digital content creation - Strong visual, written, and verbal communication skills - Highly organized with excellent time and resource management - Collaborative mindset with a willingness to contribute creatively - Teachable spirit with a commitment to growth and improvement - Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools - Professional and Christ-centered representation in all settings Must-Haves - Proven ability in video production and photography, including shooting and post-production editing - Ability to create high-quality graphic content (service graphics, event promotions, social media assets, overlays, print materials, etc.) - Exceptional attention to detail - Experience with Monday.com or similar project management platforms - Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively - Excellent communication skills - Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving ability Staff Values Love God, Love People, Grow in relationship with Christ, Grow in relationships with others, A desire to Help others discover their created purpose and live it out, Excellent work ethic, Attitude of a servant, Fun to be with and devoted to the call of God. Job Description Name/Position: Communications Assistant Team: Adult Ministry Reports to: Jenn Owen, Communications Director Description Summary: Assist with the creation and facilitation of church communications on all platforms to help people connect with GFC and experience life in Christ. Job responsibilities/duties: • Collaborates closely with the Communications Director to ensure consistent branding of all GFC content. • Creates visual content for print and digital media platforms. • Designs and delivers high-quality, creative, and consistent branding materials and graphics. • Produces, films, edits and schedules engaging social media posts and videos. • Updates websites, apps, and supports ministry areas with communication materials. • Assists with the production of the GFC podcast. • Sources and schedules blog posts, typically two per month. • Completes weekly internal communications deliverables and attends staff meetings and events. • Creates, posts, and manages event registrations and event calendars (via Planning Center). • Responds promptly to all outside communication via social media comments and messages. • Follows through and commits to meeting all deadlines.
