Production Manager (Full Time, Worship & Creative) Position Overview The Production Manager serves as the operational leader of the Production Ministry at The Woods Church. This role is responsible for the planning, preparation, execution, and ongoing support of all production environments, including weekend services, rehearsals, ministry events, volunteer teams, AVL systems, and technical operations. The Production Manager ensures every production environment is staffed, equipped, and executed with excellence while implementing the vision, direction, and ministry priorities established by the Production Director. This individual will lead volunteers, oversee production systems, coordinate ministry events, and maintain a culture of technical excellence that supports the mission of The Woods Church. Key Responsibilities Weekend Services & Rehearsals - Lead the technical preparation and execution of weekend services and rehearsals. - Ensure audio, video, lighting, presentation, and broadcast systems are functioning at a high level. - Coordinate all production support necessary for worship gatherings. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges before and during services. - Maintain consistency, quality, and excellence across all production environments. Volunteer Development & Scheduling - Recruit, onboard, train, and schedule production volunteers. - Develop clear training pathways for all production positions. - Build strong volunteer teams by cultivating depth in every role. - Provide ongoing coaching, encouragement, and technical development. - Foster a healthy team culture aligned with the values and vision of The Woods Church. Systems Management & Maintenance - Oversee the maintenance, organization, and functionality of all AVL systems. - Ensure equipment is reliable, properly maintained, and ministry-ready. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. - Maintain equipment inventories, documentation, and operational standards. - Assist in evaluating and implementing technical upgrades and system improvements. Service Programming & Preparation - Program and prepare technical elements for services and ministry events. - Manage presentation software, lighting programming, livestream preparation, and audio setup. - Ensure technical execution aligns with service plans and ministry objectives. - Prepare production environments for rehearsals, special events, and ministry gatherings. - Maintain operational consistency across all venues and ministry spaces. Ministry Events & Technical Support - Coordinate production support for church-wide events, conferences, weddings, funerals, and special gatherings. - Assess production requirements and staffing needs for events. - Oversee setup, execution, and teardown processes. - Ensure every event receives the same level of excellence as weekend services. - Provide technical leadership and support for ministry initiatives as assigned. Qualifications - Experience in live production environments, including audio, video, lighting, and presentation systems. - Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to lead, train, and develop volunteer teams. - Working knowledge of AVL equipment, troubleshooting, and system maintenance. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced ministry environment while managing multiple priorities. - A commitment to the mission, values, and culture of The Woods Church.
