JOB TITLE

• Part-Time Student Ministry Director (Grades 6–12)

LOCATION AND STATUS

• FAITH Glen Burnie — On-site / hybrid

• Part-time (10–15 hours/week, includes Sundays and at least one weeknight)

• Target start: 1 JUN 26

COMPENSATION

• Salaried (commensurate with experience). Large ministry budget available to support programming.

POSITION SUMMARY

We’re looking for someone who loves Jesus and loves students. The Student Ministry Director will lead a simple, sustainable rhythm for middle and high school students, equip and shepherd adult volunteers, and partner with parents as primary disciplers in the home. This is a staff leadership role reporting to the Lead Pastor and collaborating closely with the Elder Team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and lead relational, Christ-centered ministry for grades 6–12 (weekly gatherings, small groups and events).

• Teach Scripture in an accessible, faithful, and compelling way for students.

• Recruit, screen, train, schedule, and care for a healthy volunteer team.

• Partner with parents through clear communication and equipping.

• Plan a few key annual ministry moments (retreats/camps, service/outreach, seasonal events).

• Manage basic ministry administration: scheduling, budget coordination, calendar alignment with church leadership.

• Ensure compliance with child-protection policies (background checks, safety protocols).

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• A clear, visible love for Jesus and a life consistent with gospel witness.

• A sense of calling to student ministry and strong biblical teaching ability.

• Warm relational style with teens and clear communication with parents and volunteers.

• Dependable follow-through and ability to lead volunteers with clarity and care.

• Willingness to complete and maintain required screenings/background checks.

• Character consistent with biblical leadership expectations (see 1 Timothy 3; Titus 1), albeit this is not an elder position.
