Calvary Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist congregation located in the heart of Modesto, California. Having recently celebrated our 75th anniversary, we are a well-established community entering a season of renewed outreach and local engagement. We are committed to the Baptist Faith and Message and seek a leader who aligns with these core theological convictions.

We are seeking a compassionate, bi-vocational Senior Pastor to provide spiritual leadership and shepherd our congregation into its next chapter of ministry. The ideal candidate will oversee all spiritual matters and church ordinances while fostering a culture of growth and community connection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Word and Worship: Lead weekly preaching and coordinate comprehensive worship planning.
• Leadership and Administration: Provide direct supervision for church staff and oversee the administration of various ministry departments.
• Pastoral Care: Offer biblical counseling and support to the congregation and community.
• Outreach and Engagement: Support the evangelistic team in developing initiatives to engage with the Modesto community.

Modesto is located in Stanislaus County within California’s Central Valley, offering a central location approximately 75 miles south of Sacramento.
