Job Description

Wiltsie Community Church is prayerfully seeking a Lead Pastor to shepherd our congregation into its next season of spiritual growth, loving others and making disciples of Christ. Tucked away in the small town of Russell, PA our church includes approximately 200 multi-generational attendees and 30 partners. We are committed to biblical teaching, discipleship, and outreach in the Warren County region.

Role Symmary

The Lead Pastor will serve as the spiritual leader of Wiltsie Community Church, responsible for preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and leadership development. This individual will work alongside the Elder Board, Associate Pastor, Deacons, Trustees and ministry committees to guide the church in fulfilling its mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Preach biblically sound, Christ-centered sermons.
• Provide pastoral care, counseling, and spiritual guidance.
• Lead and equip staff and volunteers for ministry.
• Champion discipleship and outreach initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Elder Board on strategic planning and church governance.
• Foster unity and spiritual vitality across generations.

Qualifications

• A deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a calling to pastoral ministry.
• Master of Divinity (or equivalent theological training) preferred.
• Ordination or in progress.
• Previous pastoral experience preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and relational skills.
• Alignment with Wiltsie’s Statement of Faith and core values.
