Position Overview The Kids Pastor will lead and grow Ark Kids, creating a fun, safe, and Spirit-filled environment where children can encounter Jesus. This role focuses on building teams, developing leaders, and creating excellent weekend experiences for kids and families. Key Responsibilities Ministry Leadership - Oversee all areas of Ark Kids (birth–elementary) - Build systems and structure to support continued growth - Plan for future expansion (services, environments, and capacity) Team Leadership & Development - Recruit, train, and lead volunteer teams and team leaders - Ensure teams are scheduled, cared for, and developed - Build a strong, healthy volunteer culture Pastoral Care - Pastor kids, families, and volunteers - Be present and engaged with families on Sundays - Provide care, connection, and spiritual support Curriculum & Weekend Experience - Oversee curriculum selection and execution - Ensure engaging, age-appropriate, and Spirit-led environments - Maintain excellence in classrooms and experiences Events & Church Integration - Lead key kids events (Easter, Christmas, Move-Up, etc.) - Support church-wide events involving kids ministry What We’re Looking For - A builder who thrives in a growing church - Highly relational and passionate about kids and families - Strong leader of leaders who can multiply volunteers - Organized, proactive, and execution-driven - Spirit-filled with a heart for discipleship Qualifications - Experience leading kids ministry in a growing church - Proven ability to build and lead volunteer teams - Strong leadership and organizational skills - Alignment with the vision and values of The Ark Church Schedule & Expectations - Full-Time (40 hours/week) - Monday–Thursday office hours - Sundays required + key events Why This Role Matters At The Ark Church Magnolia, kids ministry is about more than childcare—it’s about raising up the next generation and reaching entire families.
