Job Description

Position Overview

The Kids Pastor will lead and grow Ark Kids, creating a fun, safe, and Spirit-filled environment where children can encounter Jesus. This role focuses on building teams, developing leaders, and creating excellent weekend experiences for kids and families.

Key Responsibilities Ministry Leadership

• Oversee all areas of Ark Kids (birth–elementary)
• Build systems and structure to support continued growth
• Plan for future expansion (services, environments, and capacity)

Team Leadership & Development

• Recruit, train, and lead volunteer teams and team leaders
• Ensure teams are scheduled, cared for, and developed
• Build a strong, healthy volunteer culture

Pastoral Care

• Pastor kids, families, and volunteers
• Be present and engaged with families on Sundays
• Provide care, connection, and spiritual support

Curriculum & Weekend Experience

• Oversee curriculum selection and execution
• Ensure engaging, age-appropriate, and Spirit-led environments
• Maintain excellence in classrooms and experiences

Events & Church Integration

• Lead key kids events (Easter, Christmas, Move-Up, etc.)
• Support church-wide events involving kids ministry

Schedule & Expectations

• Full-Time (40 hours/week)
• Monday–Thursday office hours
• Sundays required + key events
