Job Description: Young Adults Pastor, CrossCity Christian Church Job Experience: - 2-5+ years of ministry experience - Pay Range: $55k-$65k Objective of the Role: The Young Adults Pastor exists to lead young adults into a deeper, life-changing relationship with Christ. It does so by equipping and leading a team of volunteers to disciple and actively engage this community. This position also exists to provide leadership to engaged and married couples at CrossCity. It focuses on discipling and supporting them in their relationships and spiritual growth. This role advances the mission of CrossCity to make more and better disciples who love God (UP), love others (IN), and serve the world (OUT) Mission Alignment (UP & IN): Encourages love of God (UP) and loving others (IN) by being a disciple and discipling others through one-on-one care, small groups, and serving Primary Responsibilities: - Lead, disciple, and invest in young adults, helping them grow in a deeper, life- - changing relationship with Christ - Identify, equip, and empower leaders and coaches to effectively disciple and engage - young adults, including intentional outreach to local college campuses - Provide leadership and coaching to the Marriage Ministry, supporting engaged and - married couples through intentional discipleship and care - Develop and strengthen marriage-focused environments that foster connection, - growth, and Christ-centered relationships - Lead and coordinate the VLA (Valley Leadership Academy) internship program across - all CrossCity departments, ensuring an effective and healthy partnership with VLA - Build relationships with church members to enhance discipleship opportunities and - connection Key Outcomes & Measurable Goals: - Achieve 15% Growth in Young Adults attending groups and gatherings annually - Train and develop Young Adult group leaders at an annual growth rate of 15% - Increase participation and engagement in Marriage Ministry events by 20% annually - Achieve a 20% increase annually in couples completing key discipleship milestones, - such as pre-marital counseling or joining a marriage small group - Lead and coordinate the VLA internship program across all CrossCity departments, - achieving 100% placement of interns and maintaining quarterly check-ins to ensure a - healthy partnership with VLA - Actively disciple 2-3 people at CrossCity on a regular basis Hours & Schedule Expectations: - 40-45 hours/week, 80% in-office (32-36 hours) for oversight and coordination, 20% - fieldwork (8-9 hours) for discipling leaders/meeting with people - Note: In-office/fieldwork balance and flexible for evenings/events Reports To / Accountable To: - Reports to: Executive of Missions and Adult Ministries - Supervises: Volunteer Young Adults leaders and coaches as well as Married Couples, Group Coaches and Leaders Team & Ministry Integration: - Department: Adult Ministry - Collaborates regularly with other members of the Adult Ministry Team, Missions, - Operations, Production/Tech, Weekend Services, and Front Office - Attend team and all-staff meetings Budget Oversight or Stewardship Responsibilities: Manages Young Adults and Marriage Ministry Budget with wise stewardship of God’s resources Spiritual & Cultural Expectations: “The Young Adults Pastor is expected to lead with spiritual maturity, relational health, and mission alignment by working WITH people, showing integrity, and being prayerful. Equips leaders to become indispensable shepherds, training and releasing their potential to multiply disciples (Ephesians 4:11-12). They will do so by showing integrity in all they do, being a high quality/high-capacity leader, being relational with other staff members, congregation, and community, and being prayerful and dependent on God in all situations.” Evaluation Schedule: - Annual performance review with Executive of Missions and Adult Ministries - Quarterly S.M.A.R.T Goals Review

First Baptist Church of Pensacola is a historic, Christ-centered church located in the heart of downtown Pensacola. We are currently in an exciting season of growth and we are seeking a passionate and energetic man called to serve as our Minister to Young Adults. This is a full-time ministerial position focused on discipling, equipping, and leading young adults as they grow in their faith and community as well as laying the foundation for a recreational ministry. Position Overview: The Minister to Young Adults will work closely with our lead team to shepherd and disciple college students, young professionals, and young married couples. This leader will cast vision, build relationships, and develop programs that foster spiritual growth, biblical literacy, and authentic community among young adults. This will take place within the normal church structure as well as developing recreational programs to accomplish the same tasks. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement a comprehensive ministry strategy for young adults. - Teach and lead Bible studies, small groups, and discipleship programs. - Engage young adults through outreach, events, and regular communication. - Provide pastoral care, counseling, and spiritual support. - Identify and equip volunteer leaders for ministry roles. - Collaborate with church staff to integrate young adults into the broader church community. Qualifications: - A clear calling to vocational ministry, specifically to young adults. - Male, in accordance with the pastoral leadership structure of our church. - Strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a life that reflects spiritual maturity. - Bachelor’s degree required; theological training or seminary degree preferred. - Excellent communication, leadership, and relational skills.
