Youth Worship Leader

Employment Type: Part-Time, Hourly, 19 hours/week

Position Summary: The Youth Worship Lead seeks to cultivate a Christ-centered worship culture within the Youth Ministry. This role is not merely about leading songs, but about forming worshippers — discipling students by helping them to develop a theology of worship and grow in spiritual maturity. Through musical leadership, mentoring, and discipleship, the Youth Worship Lead will help raise up the next generation of worshippers who love Jesus, serve the Church, and influence their peers for Christ.

Relationships:

• Directly accountable to the Youth Ministers for Teaching and Outreach
• Serves on the Youth Ministry Team
• Leads Student Musical Worship and A/V Teams

Responsibilities:

• Prayerfully arrange worship sets and lead worship for the weekly Youth Service in alignment with the teaching theme and overall Youth Ministry direction.
• Provide worship leadership for Youth mid-week services on Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Flexible additional hours for planning and preparation.
• Schedule worship teams through PCO and facilitate rehearsals for Mid-Week Youth.
• Write and/or arrange chord charts and distribute materials to team members.
• Lead the recruitment and training of Youth Musical Worship and A/V teams.
• Help cultivate a worship culture across the Youth Ministry that emphasizes:

o Christ-centered worship

o Spiritual maturity over performance

o Team unity and servant leadership

o Excellence without ego

• Plan and lead weekly rehearsals that cultivate both musical preparedness and spiritual growth.
• Collaborate closely with Youth Ministry Team in the creative process, vision, and direction of Youth Ministry.
