Youth Leader/Pastor

Job Description

First Missionary Baptist Church in Uniontown, KS is looking for a Youth Leader/Pastor

Chosen candidate will be paid $20,000 per year to work an average of 20 hours per week and will be paid once a month. Amount of salary paid is negotiable depending on actual job duties being performed.

Qualifications:

• Be a high school graduate. Be at least 18 years old. Have a valid driver’s license.
• Be willing to become a First Missionary Baptist Church member.
• Be willing to consent to a background check.
• Be able to work with and under the guidance of the church pastor.

Love the Lord God and be a born-again believer. Have authentic faith. Have a heart for ministry and youth. Be able to connect with youth age kids well. High energy and able to keep control of meeting room. Have a good grasp of the gospel and scripture. Have the ability to plan group activities and bible lessons.

Job Description:

• Lead and run our youth group meetings once a week.
• Grow the youth group with the possibility of needing to separate into middle school and high school groups.
• Take the youth group to events like concerts, movies, mission trips, etc.
• Put together and run fundraisers when needed for the youth group.
• Drive (or organize a driver) the church van to and from youth group and other youth group activities.
• Teach the 7th–12th grade Sunday school class on Sunday mornings.
• Fill the pulpit when the pastor is gone (with deacons’ approval). This is conditional if chosen applicant is ready.
• Be involved in the community by attending the events that our youth group members would be involved in.
• Attend church camp during the summer as a sponsor or organize a sponsor to attend.
• Work 20 hours a week on average.

*The above job description items are partially negotiable for the right chosen applicant. For example, the less job duties accepted, the less the salary will be.

Other Information:

• This is a part-time position.
• No health benefits will be offered.
• Travel expenses may be covered. Depending on expenses and trip.
