Worship Pastor

Job Description

Forest Park Church is seeking a full-time Worship Pastor to help shape the worship life of our church and build a healthy, Christ-centered worship ministry over time.

Forest Park Church exists to help people follow Jesus one step at a time. We are a mission-driven congregation serving many unchurched and de-churched individuals, along with people from diverse denominational backgrounds. Because of this, our worship culture is intentionally accessible, thoughtful, grace-centered, and pastoral in tone.

We are looking for a pastor-leader who values people as much as preparation, formation as much as execution, and long-term ministry health as much as Sunday excellence. This role is for someone who loves worship, loves people, and wants to help build something meaningful over time.

Forest Park Church is affiliated with the Church of God, Cleveland, TN, and operates within that broader fellowship.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and oversee worship for Sunday services and special events.
• Build, train, schedule, and care for worship, production, and tech teams.
• Collaborate with the Lead Pastor to plan thoughtful, engaging, Christ-centered services.
• Develop musicians, vocalists, worship leaders, and production volunteers.
• Help create worship environments that are spiritually meaningful, musically prepared, and accessible to people from diverse church backgrounds.
• Use planning and worship technology tools to support clear communication, preparation, and team health.

• Passionate about leading Spirit-sensitive worship that is theologically rich, emotionally honest, and accessible.
• A pastor at heart who values relationships, integrity, humility, and unity.
• Energized by building teams and developing leaders.
• Comfortable leading both musically and administratively.
• Organized, dependable, and calm under pressure.
• Able to collaborate well with the Lead Pastor and staff team.
• Experienced with, or willing to learn, Planning Center and worship technology tools.

Details

• Full-time, salaried position, approximately 40–45 hours per week.
• Reports directly to the Lead Pastor.
• Works in collaboration with the staff and Directional Team.
• Flexible work environment based on ministry needs, meetings, rehearsals, and Sunday responsibilities.
• Located in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
