Worship Pastor

Job Description

• Select songs and arrangements for worship services that convey the Gospel message. • Organize and plan all aspects of weekend worship, including scheduling the music and production teams, and facilitating rehearsals. • Organize and plan worship for special services outside of regular Sunday services (e.g. events, funerals, etc.). • Foster cohesiveness and connectedness among all team members (act as one team of vocalists, instrumentalists, and production volunteers). • Guide and equip team members through spiritual oversight, encouraging leadership, strategic development, and coaching that supports their spiritual, musical, and technical growth. • Recruit strong, faith-filled individuals to join the music and production teams. o Music team members must adhere to biblical principles such as church membership, tithing, serving, and community involvement. • Evaluate and expand worship in other areas of the church (e.g. KiDS and Youth environments, celebration events, prayer gatherings, etc.), creating a cohesive culture of worship. • Manage and care for all equipment used, including instruments and all related technology. • Engage the music team (as appropriate) to write biblically sound songs to use in worship services. • Oversee and ensure the budget is set appropriately each year and then managed well throughout the year.
