Job Description

**Worship Pastor at our Ontario Campus ** **Who/What: A high-functioning, charismatic leader who will primarily be responsible for creating irresistible worship environments that lead believers to worship and woo non-believers to Jesus. ** The Avenue team is known for having fun, working hard and making Jesus known. This position is for someone who aspires to make disciples, develop leaders, preach the Gospel, build systems and invest in relationships. Being theologically grounded and outgoing is a must, as well as having a heart to grow as a follower of Christ with the help of others.

**What You Need **

• Well-developed time management and administrative skills and techniques
• Lead Worship with an instrument (Guitar, keyboard, etc.)

**Program Planning ** Responsible for all details related to the planning and execution of dynamic programming including, but not limited to, weekend worship services, leadership events, and other ministry programs. This is accomplished by:

• Facilitating and lead regular brainstorming sessions to generate fresh ideas and creative elements for services
• Working with the Lead Pastor and other communicators to ensure a consistent message is being told in the program details, i.e., music, video, giving talks, next steps, etc.
• Leading regular meetings to plan and coordinate music, video, technical, and creative elements to be used in service programming
• Ensuring that all programming details are scripted out at least two weeks prior to the event date including musical, technical, video, and other program notes and assets
• Leading regular evaluations and critique sessions to maintain a bar of excellence of the ministries within your purview
• Recruiting, training, and developing additional team members to serve on the program planning team

**Musical Direction ** Responsible for casting vision, influencing, and monitoring the musical direction of Avenue Church to ensure it is biblically accurate, musically excellent, and culturally relevant. These objectives are accomplished by:

• Overseeing worship services every week of the year as well as being willing to lead in other environments or ministries as necessary and available
• Recruiting, training, and mentoring other gifted worship leaders who will not only lead on a weekend but who will be able to work with Kids Ministries, Student Ministries, The Gathering and future church plants/revitalizations
• Lead, recruit, train, and schedule multiple teams of musicians, vocalists, tech leaders, etc. to ensure adequate coverage for all services and programs
• Pastor, coach, and care for the volunteers on worship and tech teams, which includes spending adequate time with these key volunteers to ensure they are abiding in Christ

**Video/Lights/Production ** Responsible for developing the people, philosophy, systems and deadlines related to the production for worship services and other ministry initiatives. This is accomplished by:

• Providing technical support for all services (Sundays and other special services) through the recruitment, development, and empowerment of volunteers in all A/V/L areas
• Managing and maintain all A/V/L technology throughout the church
• Managing Livestream, recordings, and post-production of digital programming
• Providing A/V support for all weddings and funerals
• Providing media and technical support to staff and ministries
• Purchasing needed technology, software, and supplies
• Design, create and execute stage designs for all campuses
• Perform or manage troubleshooting and repairs to your equipment/systems as needed
• Display adequate experience with Pro Presenter, Adobe Creative suite, and/or similar programs
• Other duties as assigned

Salary is dependent on experience. Don't need a degree, but it's helpful if you have experience.
