  • Develop and maintain a clear, welcoming onboarding process for all new worship volunteers
  • Conduct new volunteer orientations covering theology of worship, team culture, expectations, and technical training
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of future leaders by identifying talent within the congregation
  • Partner with ministry departments to cross-promote volunteer opportunities church-wide

Volunteer Team — Development & Discipleship

  • Mentor and spiritually invest in volunteers, fostering a community — not just a performance team
  • Provide regular feedback, coaching, and encouragement to all team members
  • Lead quarterly team gatherings for worship, vision-casting, and fellowship
  • Identify growth opportunities for individual volunteers (e.g., leading songs, running sound, etc.)
  • Create and maintain team resources, training guides, and coaching materials

Production & Technical Oversight

  • Manage and maintain the church's SongSelect license and song library, ensuring up-to-date charts, keys, and arrangements
  • Lead and coordinate Playback for in-ear monitoring mixes, tracks, and click content for weekend services
  • Build and maintain all service orders, team schedules, and song assignments in Planning Center Online (PCO)
  • Use Google Sheets to track volunteer availability, song rotation, team rosters, and service data
  • Collaborate with the audio/visual tech team to ensure a seamless production experience

Administration & Planning

  • Manage the annual worship ministry budget, including licensing, gear, and training resources
  • Maintain organized and accessible chord charts, lead sheets, and multi-tracks for the team
  • Communicate proactively with the pastoral team regarding service changes and creative needs

QualificationsRequired

  • Genuine, growing personal faith and active membership in a local church community
  • 3+ years of experience leading worship in a church setting
  • Proficiency in Pro Presenter (slide building, media management, live operation)
  • Working knowledge of SongSelect for song selection, transposing, and chart management
  • Experience with Playback for multi-track and in-ear monitoring in live services
  • Proficiency in Planning Center Online (PCO) — scheduling, song library, and team communication
  • Comfortable with Google Sheets for team management and data tracking
  • Strong vocal and/or instrumental ability (guitar or keys preferred)
  • Proven ability to recruit, build, and lead volunteer teams

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Music, Worship Arts, or related ministry field
  • Experience with in-ear monitor mixing and multi-track playback systems
  • Familiarity with CCLI licensing and copyright compliance
  • Experience working within a multi-staff church environment
  • Background in audio engineering or live sound production
