Position Title: Worship Pastor Reports to: Lead Pastor Hours: 40 Hours/Week Employees Supervised: 7–12 Volunteers (Worship & Production Teams)

Job Summary

We’re seeking a passionate, Spirit-led Worship Director / Associate Pastor who understands that worship is far more than music, it is the wholehearted offering of our lives to God.

Rooted in Romans 12:1–2, we believe worship is presenting ourselves as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. Singing is one vital expression of worship, but obedience, repentance, generosity, holiness, unity, and mission are equally acts of praise. True worship transforms the way we think, live, love, and serve.

This leader will cultivate Christ-centered worship gatherings that are biblically faithful and spiritually alive—helping people encounter God through His Word, respond in surrender, and live transformed lives throughout the week. More than producing excellent services, you will shepherd a people whose everyday lives reflect joyful obedience to Jesus.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cast Vision & Shape Culture

• Develop and communicate a clear, biblical theology of worship aligned with Romans 12:1–2 and the mission of Life Community Church.
• Teach and model that worship extends beyond Sunday singing into daily obedience and Spirit-filled living.
• Collaborate with the Lead Pastor to design gatherings that call people not only to sing, but to surrender.

1. Lead Weekend Worship Gatherings

• Plan and lead weekly worship services that are gospel-centered, Scripture-saturated, and congregationally engaging.
• Ensure musical selections and service elements align with sermon themes and church-wide discipleship initiatives.
• Lead rehearsals that cultivate both spiritual preparation and musical excellence.

1. Shepherd & Develop Teams

• Recruit, train, schedule, and pastor worship and production volunteers.
• Invest spiritually in team members, helping them grow as disciples before developing them as musicians or technicians.
• Raise up future worship leaders who understand that character matters more than platform presence.

1. Oversee Production & Creative Arts

• Provide leadership to audio, visual, lighting, and media teams to ensure clarity and excellence.
• Collaborate on creative elements such as testimonies, baptisms, special services, and church-wide worship nights.
• Steward equipment and systems responsibly.

1. Develop Worship Beyond Sundays

• Equip the church to live lives of worship through obedience, generosity, service, and evangelism.
• Contribute to prayer gatherings, special events, and church-wide initiatives.
• Support student and kids ministry worship development when appropriate.

1. Contribute to Church Leadership

• Participate in weekly staff meetings and service reviews.
• Collaborate with ministry leaders to ensure unity and alignment.
• Occasionally teach or preach as gifted and needed.

1. Manage Resources

• Oversee the worship and production budget with integrity and strategic foresight.
• Plan wisely for future growth, upgrades, and ministry development.

Candidate ProfileEducation & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required (worship ministry, theology, music, or related field preferred).
• Master’s degree and/or ordination preferred but not required.
• 3–5 years of worship leadership experience in a church of similar size or larger.
• Experience leading volunteer teams and planning worship services.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong musical leadership (vocals required; instrumental proficiency preferred).
• Clear understanding of biblical worship theology.
• Ability to lead spiritually and organizationally.
• Strong communication and team-building skills.
• Familiarity with worship technology platforms and production systems.

Internal/External Relations

• Demonstrates humility, servant leadership, and emotional maturity.
• Builds collaborative relationships with staff and volunteers.
• Represents Life Community Church’s mission and values with integrity.

Leadership & Financial Responsibilities

• Lead and disciple worship and production teams.
• Manage the worship budget with stewardship and accuracy.

Physical Factors & Working Conditions

• Office and stage-based work environment.
• Weekend and evening responsibilities required.
• Ministry requires flexibility and availability during key seasons (Christmas, Easter, retreats, etc.).

Life Community Church is committed to stewarding its resources with integrity and transparency. The salary range for this role is $80,000–$95,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
