Senior Pastor

Job Description

First Baptist Church of New Castle, Virginia, is seeking a full-time senior pastor to shepherd our congregation in spiritual growth and service. Ideally, an interested candidate must profess a call to pastor and must meet the qualifications outlined in Scripture in I Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. He must possess an unwavering love for Jesus Christ and His church and also have the ability to preach the uncompromised Word of God.

First Baptist Church is located in beautiful Craig County, in the Blue Ridge Mountains, 15 miles from the Appalachian Trail near McAfee's Knob and Dragon's Tooth. Though a rural community, nestled within two National Forests, we are conveniently located 25-30 miles from the cities of Salem, Roanoke, and/or Blacksburg, Virginia.

First Baptist has approximately 100 members and an average Sunday morning attendance of 60-70. It has three weekly services: Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and a Wednesday evening prayer service. In addition, there are active ministries for all ages -- infancy to Golden Heirs -- and a weekly Reformers Unanimous ministry meeting for those struggling with addiction.

If you feel the Lord may be calling you to partner with our church family, please send a statement of faith and resume to our Pulpit Committee at FBCNCSecretary@gmail.com or to First Baptist Church, PO Box 219, New Castle, VA, 24127.
