Senior Pastor – Southern Baptist Church Full-Time Position

Overview Our church is seeking a Senior Pastor called by God and aligned with the Southern Baptist Convention and the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. The pastor will provide Christ-centered preaching, spiritual leadership, and compassionate shepherding as we pursue the Great Commission together.

Responsibilities

• Preach and teach the Word of God with clarity, faithfulness, and conviction.
• Administer the ordinances of Believer’s Baptism and the Lord’s Supper according to Southern Baptist beliefs.
• Provide pastoral care, counseling, and visitation; conduct weddings and funerals.
• Lead and equip church staff, deacons, and ministry teams.
• Guide the church’s mission, vision, and ministries in cooperation with SBC partners and the Cooperative Program.
• Perform other duties as the church may prescribe.

Qualifications

• Strong testimony of faith and call to pastoral ministry.
• Ordained (or willing to be ordained) in a Southern Baptist church.
• Agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
• Seminary training preferred; pastoral experience strongly desired.
• Proven preaching, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
