Real Life Church • Port St. Lucie, FL (on-site)

Type: Part-time

Hours: Approx. 10–15 hrs/week — two Sunday services, rehearsals, song prep, and Wednesday-team coaching

Compensation: Starting at $1,000 - $1,250 /month, reviewed quarterly, with an increase for every 50 people who become active members.

Schedule: Two Sunday morning services required (9 AM & 11 AM). Wednesday night service is optional to attend in person, but you'll recruit, train, and prepare the team that leads it.

About Us

Real Life Church is a Spirit-filled, Bible-believing congregation of about 75–100 people and growing. We're a multicultural, multi-generational church family that values authentic community and genuine contemporary worship over performance, and we're looking for someone to help us grow in that same spirit.

About the Role

We're seeking a Praise and Worship Leader to lead worship for both Sunday morning services and to build and equip a team for our Wednesday night service. We're looking for someone genuinely called to lead people into the awareness of the presence of Jesus, not someone looking to perform — this role is as much about who you're becoming as what you'll be leading.

To protect your own spiritual health, you'll sit in one Sunday service each week undistracted by ministry duties, giving your full attention to the teaching of God's Word. Beyond the responsibilities below, we want you discipled in the Word and rooted in this church family — not filling a position on a contract basis.

Responsibilities

• Lead congregational worship for both Sunday morning services
• Select songs and plan worship sets that are Spirit-led and Scripturally grounded
• Recruit, train, and prepare a volunteer worship team to lead Wednesday night worship
• Schedule and lead rehearsals with musicians and vocalists
• Coordinate with pastoral staff on the flow and direction of each service
• Model spiritual maturity and servant leadership to the worship team
• Help cultivate a culture of authentic, Spirit-led worship throughout the congregation

Qualifications

• Able to lead worship from piano or guitar, with strong vocal ability and a good ear for song selection and arrangement
• Experience leading worship in a church setting preferred
• A heart for genuine worship, not performance or entertainment
• Ability to lead, disciple, and build up a team of volunteer musicians and vocalists
• A growing, authentic relationship with Jesus Christ, and a desire to be discipled and grow as part of this church family

As with all our leaders, we ask our Praise and Worship Leader to pursue a Biblical standard of life. We don't expect perfection — we're all a work in progress — but we're looking for someone pursuing discipleship, who knows Jesus, and who seeks to love and live like Him as laid out in The Scriptures.

Real Life Church holds to the sanctity of life at conception, a Biblical view of marriage as between one man and one woman, and two genders as designed by God. We ask that our leaders affirm and live in agreement with these Biblical beliefs.

If you have to travel from outside St. Lucie County, we will reimburse for fuel costs.
