Pastor of Family and Youth

Job Description

NGC is seeking an associate pastor to care for the youth and children of our church. We need a charismatic man that will help build our children’s ministry as well as our youth. He needs to be tech-savvy and not afraid of going out and reaching people where they are. He will be responsible for scheduling, capacitating, and growing teachers for the children’s wing as well as leading youth nights, connect classes, and activities. He will need to work in a budget and find ways to grow these ministries using advertisements such a Google ads, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, as well as going out into local schools to encourage growth. He will not work alone and will have ample support to achieve these goals. He will also be expected to learn how the sound and lights work for service. The church runs around 70 people each Sunday and has a large, modern facility to work in with plenty of space to grow.

This position is one that will require hard work and a desire to help build a church. The job expectations are as follows:

• Work a minimum of 20 hours a week
• Work within a budget
• Participate in weekly staff meeting
• Preach Sundays when needed and run Wednesday night Bible studies
• Plan and keep a yearly, monthly, and weekly calendar
• Go out into the community and reach the youth in their schools, using advertisements such a Google ads, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook to help
• Stay in constant contact with the pastor
• Run church’s social media
• Learn, and at times, run the media booth
• Help in any other way as needed.
• Recruit, train, organize and empower adult volunteers

A pastor with talent is nothing without character. Here are some things we are looking for from a candidate.

• A man that fulfills the requirements set forth by 1 Tim. 3
• A man of character and conviction
• A man that isn’t afraid of his faith
• A family man is preferred but not required
• A man equipped to preach and teach
• A man that can work under authority and with others
• A man who will stick to the work and not run when faced with adversity
