Job Description
Job Title: Pastor of Adult Ministries
Location: South Mountain Community Church, Draper, Utah
Job Type: Full-time 45 Hours Per Week
Overview:
This Pastor serves South Mountain Community Church (SMCC) by being the champion of all things related to first impressions, assimilation, small groups, and adult ministry. They are a highly relational leader who serves as the point person for (a) Guest Services leaders, (b) small group leaders, (c) first time guests, and (d) any SMCC Ministry leader at their campus. They help all members of SMCC grow in their understanding and practice of authority, identity, and activity as defined by the SMCC Way.
Responsibilities:
- Managing spiritual pathway resources & systems
- Leading and coaching small group leaders and coaches
- Championing campus specific ministries for adults (men’s, women’s, support groups, etc.)
- Overseeing the Guest Services teams
- Controlling the lobby experience
- Heading up the assimilation process
- Directing baptism and baptism orientation
- Project managing campus events for adults including but not limited to:
- Ministry Seminars
- Retreats and weekends
- Christmas Eve
- Good Friday
- Outdoor Baptism
- Connect Now
Qualifications:
- Degree in ministry/theology from an accredited university or equivalent experience
- Biblically literate & theologically aligned with SMCC
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Expertise in PlanningCenterOnline, Click-Up, Slack, and the G-Suite
- Committed to the mission, vision, and values of SMCC
- Can sign the SMCC staff handbook with integrity

Organizational Relationships:
- Directly accountable to the Campus Pastor (CP)
- Manages volunteers in Guest Services
- Leads small group leaders and coaches
- Attends/participates in relevant meetings included but not limited to:
- Monthly all-staff
- Weekly staff Meetings (staff development & weekend prep)
