Job Description

After 13 wonderful years our humble shepherd has retired. We are in need of the right man, chosen by God, to lead and grow our flock. He must have a heart for God and meet the requirements found in God’s inerrant Word in 1Timothy 3:1-7, Titus1:5-9 and 1Peter 5:1-3.

Founded in 1890, Faunce is a small, non-denominational, Bible centered church located in rural South Plymouth close to the Myles Standish State Forest. We are a family of believers ranging in ages from 4-80. Most of us have lived in this area for a very long time. We see this end of Plymouth growing quickly and in need of the great commission- to go and make disciples of all nations: Matthew 28:18-20

We are seeking a man to preach and teach God’s word on Sunday mornings. Additional needs listed:

• A heart for evangelism, both in our church families and community.
• Provide compassionate prayer and counseling during times of need, sickness, and grief.
• Celebrate the Lord’s Supper.
• Perform baptisms, officiate weddings, funerals, baby dedications.
• Applicant must be ordained or licensed by any generally recognized Christian organization, and he must provide his doctrinal statement.

We have a house available as part of the compensation package. Also included is a weekly stipend and vacation.
