Whether it was written three centuries ago or three weeks ago, it sounds like us.This role requires musical talent, theological discernment, team leadership, and creative vision to design worship services that align with the church’s doctrine and support the overall vision and teaching ministry of First Baptist Mineral Wells.
"Worship is not just music; it’s the heartbeat of the church." – Thom Rainer

- Choose songs that reflect biblical truth, align with the church’s doctrine, and connect with a multi-generational congregation.
- Collaborate with the Senior Pastor to align worship services with the sermon series and broader church vision.
- Lead and manage midweek rehearsals to ensure musical excellence and spiritual preparation.
- Worship Team Development
- Recruit, audition, and develop volunteer musicians, vocalists, and tech team members.

- Collaborate with media and communication staff to ensure cohesive branding and visual communication that supports the worship experience.
- Pastoral Ministry Through Worship
- Foster a culture where worship ministry is not a performance, but a pastoral act of leading people to encounter God.
- Connect personally with the congregation to ensure worship services are contextually appropriate for the church’s culture and mission field.
- Participate in pastoral care as needed, particularly with worship team members.
Key Qualifications
- Formal education in worship ministry, music, or theology (Bachelor’s required, Seminary or Master’s preferred).

Why This Role Matters Now
The worship experience is one of the first impressions visitors have of the church. It directly influences whether they return. Worship also serves as one of the primary discipleship moments in the church’s weekly rhythm.
“People might come for the preaching, but they stay because they connect with the worship culture.” – Carey Nieuwhof
