About Starpoint:

Starpoint Church is a growing church that averages 2,000 in person each weekend. We are located in the Capital Region of upstate New York, just 2.5 hours from New York City and 2.5 hours from Montreal, with the Adirondack Mountains right in our backyard.

Albany, New York is consistently rated as one of the most post-Christian and least Bible-minded cities in America by Barna. The ideal candidate will understand how to minister effectively in a highly unchurched context and carry a heart to reach people far from God.

Connections Director @ Starpoint

We are looking for a Connections Director who will help us create a world-class first impression and ensure every person who walks through our doors finds a clear next step into community, serving, and spiritual growth. This role is all about assimilation, helping new people and those not yet engaged move into meaningful relationships and roles within the church.

With your leadership, Sunday will truly feel like home for every guest who walks through our doors.

You would be responsible for…

• Championing a warm, welcoming, and inviting front door for Starpoint Church
• Leading and executing all guest assimilation processes
• Driving connection pathways into Growth Groups, serving teams, and relationships
• Recruiting and onboarding new volunteers across all ministries
• Overseeing guest follow-up systems
• Creating “Surprise & Delight” moments during weekend services
• Investing in and developing Connections Team leaders and captains
• Ensuring strong communication, follow-up, and accountability through systems like Planning Center
