Adult Ministries Pastor

Job Description

Purpose

The Adult Ministries Pastor will be responsible for Lifesong Church’s Formation and Care efforts to help people come to Know God, Live in Freedom, Discover Purpose, and Deliver Hope.

Reports To

• Executive Leadership

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Executive Leadership to shape vision and strategy for Lifesong’s assimilation and small groups ministries.
• Oversee Lifesong’s assimilation efforts, facilitated through a two to four step process, to help individuals learn more about Lifesong, become part of the church community, and get involved on a team (Dream Team).
• Oversee the development, execution, and engagement of Small Groups for the purposes of community, care, and spiritual formation.

Work alongside pastors and ministry leaders to raise up and equip Small Group leaders. Develop the Small Group direction and offering for each Small Group season. Vet Small Group curriculum as needed. Coordinate launch efforts for each Small Groups season.

• Oversee the Next Gen ministry in collaboration with the Kids Ministry Leader, and Youth & Young Adult Director.
• Oversee the Care ministries in collaboration with the Care Pastor.
• Oversee the Impressions ministry in collaboration with the Impressions Director.
• Build and manage the Adult Ministries budget and ensure its proper stewardship.
• Track key performance indicators and conduct regular reviews to drive continuous improvement.

• Familiarity with multiple models and styles of Group ministry
• Demonstrated ability to quickly and healthily scale ministry

• Strong written & oral communication and interpersonal skills

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Oversee Dream Team, PT or FT staff in the Adult Ministries department
• Oversee all Dream Team – Group leaders, coaches, presenters, admin, etc. – in the Adult Ministries department

Work Schedule

• 40+ hours/week
• Sundays (and Events as needed)
• Schedule TBD w/ Executive Leadership
