Lead Pastor Church & Community: Hope Rising is located in Huntington, IN and is a multi-generational church located in city limits but serving many from outside the city and even from surrounding counties. Hope Rising church exists to help people know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference. The church's goal is to not only build the kingdom of believers but strengthen those believers to go out in the community serving and making disciples. Our current active membership is between 70–90. The church's current footprint in the community is small but there is a much room to grow. In past years the church has had membership highs upwards of 200 people. Our church is committed to fostering strong relationships that serve our community, wherein faith and action go hand in hand. The next leader of our church will be dedicated to expanding our community outreach while nurturing our strong focus on families. We are seeking a relationship driven leader to foster and build these connections. Essential Characteristics & Leadership Skills: - Dynamic Bible-based preaching/teaching style that will foster multi-generational growth - Lead from the front (staff, congregation, community, conflict resolution) - Vision oriented - Relational and active within church and community - Growth mindset with financial acumen - Strong communication skills - Strong focus on discipleship and ministry development Responsibilities: - Provide leadership development and serve as chair of the Local Board of Administration (LBA). - Preach and teach for the personal and spiritual growth of our congregation. - Engage with church leadership and worship team, to ensure services are meaningful and spiritually enriching. - Work with church leadership and staff to establish and execute a vision and plan for church growth. - Develop and equip leaders, lay or staff, who serve using their God-given strengths and talents and work to build volunteer teams as needed. - Lead the evangelism and outreach mission of the church. - Administer the sacraments of baptism and the Lord's Supper, as well as other duties and powers as outlined in the Discipline of The Wesleyan Church. - Shepherd congregation and shut-ins in times of trials, illness, and loss. - Oversee all daily operations of the church. - Help to manage the financial stability of the church. Lead Pastor Position Title: Full Time Lead Pastor Location: Church of 75–100 in Southeast Missouri (about an hour North of Memphis, TN) Church Size: Church of 75–100 Church Overview Caruthersville Wesleyan Church exists to "nurture a diverse and welcoming local community, committed to following fearlessly wherever God is leading us and making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of Caruthersville and the world." Position Summary The Lead Pastor will provide spiritual, visionary, and organizational leadership to the congregation. Primary Responsibilities 1. Discipleship & Church Growth - Establish and lead discipleship pathways for: - New believers - Membership development - Ongoing spiritual growth - Foster measurable growth in attendance and engagement (short- and long-term goals identified by the church). - Create opportunities for young adults and families to connect. 4. Community Engagement - Be visible and active in the local community. - Participate in community partnerships (schools, ministerial alliance, outreach efforts). - Lead outreach initiatives that connect unchurched individuals to Christ. 5. Youth & Next Generation Focus - Support and prioritize a vibrant and growing youth and children's ministry development. - Encourage youth involvement in church leadership and service. - Champion long-term vision such as a multi-use youth/community activity center. 6. Administration & Stewardship - Provide oversight of church operations, staff, and volunteers. - Promote financial stewardship and responsible budgeting. - Work collaboratively with the Local Board of Administration. - Ensure alignment, accountability, and healthy church systems. Job Description for Director of Family Ministries Reports to: Senior Pastor | Status: Full-Time | FLSA: Exempt Directly Oversees: Children Ministries, Student Ministries, and Families Directly Supervises: Directors of Full-Day and Half-Day Christian Learning Center Ministry Overview and Church Brief: Dalton First United Methodist Church is seeking an individual who nurtures a rich spiritual life to provide vision and coordination of ministry to children and students (ages 0-18), college-aged young adults (ages 19-26), their families, and a full-day and half-day Christian Learning Center. This person generates new ideas, effectively copes with change and uncertainty, practices integrity and transparent communication, enjoys working hard, has the capacity to build/launch ministries, and makes connections in the congregation to serve families in a variety of roles. In our welcoming and socially-conscious environment, this broad-minded person will help bridge all ages while developing and administering all aspects of ministry to support and encourage relationships and growth for children, students, and families in their faith. Other Responsibilities: - Create, manage, and continually review all budgets/finances for each ministry. - Participate in weekly tactical ministry staff meetings. - Participate in quarterly strategic ministry staff meetings. - Lead quarterly family engagement committee meetings. - Routinely meet for one-on-one coaching and ministry review with Senior Pastor. - Effectively supervise and coach the Directors of the Christian Learning Center. Develop a strategic partnership with the goal of linking the CLC with the Church for maximized ministry effectiveness and fruit. Participate in quarterly - Christian Learning Center board meetings. - Participate in continuing education opportunities; network with other children, student, and family ministry directors and leaders. - Be a life-giving and engaged participant in standing church programs and worship services, and other duties as assigned. Volunteer Management: Identifies, recruits and engages people in their areas of giftedness, skills and passions for volunteer positions; clearly and comfortably delegates both routine and important tasks and decisions; establishes clear expectations, providing training for each role; provides regular and ongoing feedback, development and appreciation about performance; creates a climate in which people want to do their best; makes each individual feel that their work is important. Teaching/Spiritual Formation: Demonstrates an understanding of discipleship as journey or process; selects curriculum that is relevant and contributes to a deeper understanding of scripture, theology and spiritual practice; designs effective lesson plans using a variety of learning styles and experiences to maintain interest, build connection to daily life and social justice issues, and promote deeper relationships while developing faith.
