About the Church The Heights Church is a non-denominational, life-giving church that launched in January 2017 in Bolivar, Missouri. In its early days, the church operated as a mobile ministry, faithfully setting up and gathering in the local high school for the first 20 months. In September 2018, The Heights Church purchased its current facility, establishing a permanent home for its growing community. Today, weekly attendance averages between 450 and 500 people, and the church is currently undergoing a significant building renovation to expand its capacity and better serve the surrounding community. By God’s grace, The Heights Church has made meaningful progress in its mission to help individuals reach their full potential in Christ—celebrating decisions for salvation, baptisms, and changed lives. This person will love children, yet, spend most of their time developing leaders who love children. Children’s Pastor Roles and Responsibilities Lead Dream Teamers to Execute Weekend Programming - Lead Children’s Leadership Team / Coaches to proficiently staff children’s area - Implement a life-giving curriculum that focuses on worship, God’s Word and relationships in a culturally relevant and fun atmosphere - Develop and execute all safety measures to maintain excellent security - Create an environment that kids love and families want to invest in. Develop and Pastor Dream Teamers - Develop a team that actively invests in children and their families - Develop a Children’s Leadership Team - Develop classroom room teachers and helpers - Develop a check-in team - Love and disciple team members Create and Develop Children’s Activities/Events - Coordinate an annual children’s camp trip - Develop and execute an annual VBS (summer blast) - Create quarterly events for children to engage with one another Effectively administrate the Children’s Ministry - Develop a communication system to Dream Teamers and parents. - Create and manage the Children’s Ministry budget. - Manage the processes and database of the Children’s Ministry (PlanningCenter) Expectations - Have regular office hours - Love the Heights vision - Be a self-starter - Have we over me attitude What We’re Looking For: - An individual with a life-giving relationship with Jesus - Someone who puts people before tasks - An individual able to handle conflict - A team player - A team builder - A creative problem solver - A teachable spirit - Someone who will embrace a smaller town
