Communications Coordinator | Job Description Mission To connect people to God, people, and service. Job Description The Bridge is a growing, multisite church in the NW corner of Chicago and the suburbs, passionate about helping people connect with God, with people, and with service. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Communications Coordinator to serve under our Communications Director and help execute clear, compelling, and excellent communication across all campuses and platforms. This role is ideal for a creative, organized, and spiritually grounded individual who thrives in a collaborative environment. The Communications Coordinator will help bring ideas to life through graphics, video, photography, marketing strategy, and digital content. This person will contribute to maintaining a consistent Bridge experience across every touchpoint while continuing to grow both spiritually and creatively. Characteristics - Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment - Excellence-oriented with strong attention to detail - Positive attitude and flexible spirit - Calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Technically savvy and comfortable learning new tools - Receives and applies feedback well - Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects - Open to learning and developing new skills - Approaches creativity with humility and an open hand Qualifications - Thriving, healthy relationship with Jesus Christ - Passionate about using creative gifts to help lead people toward Christ - Skilled creative (graphics, video, photography, marketing, etc.) - Well-versed in at least one of the following: - Video shooting/editing - Photography and editing - Graphic design - Marketing strategy - Experience working on a marketing or communications team - Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (and/or other editing software) - Ability and willingness to adapt to The Bridge brand - Strong organizational skills and effective task management - Team-focused with a willingness to submit creatively and organizationally - Preferred: Experience using a DSLR camera for photo or video Expectations - Regularly use current skills while actively developing new communication mediums - Collaborate with the Communications staff on projects and reviews - Participate in media coverage of major church events, weekend services, and studio filming - Create and collaborate on regular social media content using preferred communication mediums - Use AI tools effectively to increase efficiency and productivity - Run the play with excellence to ensure consistency across all Bridge platforms - Participate in brainstorm meetings for church events, sermon series, special holiday services, and ministry initiatives - Regularly use a DSLR camera for media coverage and work toward proficient-to-advanced camera skills - Continue growing spiritually and be willing to share about that growth in team devotionals Does this sound like you?
