Pastor of Adult Ministries

Job Title: Pastor of Adult Ministries Location: South Mountain Community Church, Draper, Utah Job Type: Full-time 45 Hours Per Week Overview: This Pastor serves South Mountain Community Church (SMCC) by being the champion of all things related to first impressions, assimilation, small groups, and adult ministry. They are a highly relational leader who serves as the point person for (a) Guest Services leaders, (b) small group leaders, (c) first time guests, and (d) any SMCC Ministry leader at their campus. They help all members of SMCC grow in their understanding and practice of authority, identity, and activity as defined by the SMCC Way. Responsibilities: - Managing spiritual pathway resources & systems - Leading and coaching small group leaders and coaches - Championing campus specific ministries for adults (men’s, women’s, support groups, etc.) - Overseeing the Guest Services teams - Controlling the lobby experience - Heading up the assimilation process - Directing baptism and baptism orientation - Project managing campus events for adults including but not limited to: - Ministry Seminars - Retreats and weekends - Christmas Eve - Good Friday - Outdoor Baptism - Connect Now Qualifications: - Degree in ministry/theology from an accredited university or equivalent experience - Biblically literate & theologically aligned with SMCC - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Expertise in PlanningCenterOnline, Click-Up, Slack, and the G-Suite - Committed to the mission, vision, and values of SMCC - Can sign the SMCC staff handbook with integrity Key Attributes: - Catalytic Leader: Able to rally people to a cause - Team Builder: Can build teams and create high capacity leaders that build more teams - Relational Leader: Friendly and has the ability to relationally fuel those on their team - Quality Manager: Looking for ways to improve, sensitive to misses, and committed to excellence - Cheerleader: Encouraging those on their team constantly and celebrating other ministries in their success - Carrier of the DNA: Live out and pass on the SMCC mission, vision, and values - Solution Specialist: Able to identify current and future problems and implement solutions - Systems Expert: Can build, manage, and operate systems and processes at an extremely high level - Conflict Resolver: Unafraid to tackle interpersonal conflicts, ministry misalignment, or issues of sin - Pastor: Has a heart for people and kingdom expansion Organizational Relationships: - Directly accountable to the Campus Pastor (CP) - Manages volunteers in Guest Services - Leads small group leaders and coaches - Attends/participates in relevant meetings included but not limited to: - Monthly all-staff - Weekly staff Meetings (staff development & weekend prep) To apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience to jobs@smccutah.org.
Pastor/Director of Kid's Ministry

Job Description: Kid’s Ministry Coordinator/Pastor SMCC | Draper Position Summary: The Children’s Ministry Director is to develop a ministry that is both growing and thriving through recruitment, coaching, and management of volunteers. This involves creating and sustaining irresistible spaces and atmospheres where children’s ministry is conducted. The goal is to produce fully devoted and fully delighted volunteers and leaders who themselves oversee fully devoted and fully delighted pathways for children to follow as they take their own next steps.
