Job Description: Who Is New Life Community Church? New Life Community Church is a gospel-centered, Word-driven church committed to loving like Jesus across cultures and generations. At New Life, we are passionate about both discipleship and outreach. Our ministry extends beyond the church walls through partnerships and initiatives such as serving Title I schools by providing meals for children, supporting families recovering from homelessness, feeding the homeless, hosting recovery groups, and engaging in local and global missions. Within our church, our commitment to families is evident. Our Children’s Ministry is thriving, supported by strong leadership, engaged families, and steady growth—including a recent season of many new young families. Our Student Ministry focuses on grounding students in Scripture while fostering meaningful relationships in a fun and safe environment. Most adults are actively involved in weekly Life Groups that meet in homes throughout the community. New Life is a healthy, debt-free church with over 500 people gathering each weekend. Our staff team is close-knit, collaborative, and joyful in serving together. We are prayerfully seeking a leader who will complement our culture and strengthen our ministry. Who Is Our Next Executive Pastor? We are seeking a vibrant, Jesus-centered, and Bible-grounded leader to serve as a key partner to the Lead Pastor in overseeing the administrative, operational, and organizational life of the church. The Executive Pastor will help ensure that New Life’s mission—making and maturing disciples of Jesus—is supported by healthy systems, wise stewardship, aligned staff leadership, and operational excellence. This role includes both strategic leadership and hands-on oversight, as well as occasional preaching and teaching opportunities. This leader will work closely with the Lead Pastor to help cast vision, expand ministry impact, and advance the overall mission of New Life Community Church. The ideal candidate will: · Hold a bachelor’s degree (required; advanced degree preferred) · Have proven experience leading staff in a ministry or organizational setting · Demonstrate strong organizational, administrative, and leadership skills · Be an effective and clear communicator · Be passionate about discipleship, team development, and ministry health Primary Responsibilities Organizational & Administrative Leadership · Oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the church · Develop and maintain policies, systems, and procedures that promote clarity and effectiveness · Ensure alignment between ministry vision and operational execution · Lead organizational planning, workflow design, and process improvement Financial & Resource Stewardship · Oversee the church’s bookkeeping functions, providing guidance and support · Meet regularly with the church Treasurer · Provide executive oversight of budgeting, financial planning, and reporting · Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, and responsible stewardship of resources · Promote transparency in financial communication and long-term sustainability Facilities, Communications & Operations · Oversee campus operations, facilities maintenance, and risk management · Manage the use of church facilities by outside groups · Provide executive oversight of church-wide communications and branding · Strengthen internal systems and cross-departmental communication Staff Leadership & Strategic Partnership · Partner with the Lead Pastor to develop, support, and shepherd ministry and creative staff · Supervise and develop administrative and facilities staff · Provide Human Resources leadership, including hiring processes, onboarding, performance management, and staff care · Maintain and implement personnel policies, ensuring legal compliance and organizational integrity · Equip and support volunteer leaders and ministry teams Pastoral Responsibilities · Oversee Benevolence Ministries · Provide occasional pastoral counseling · Preach and teach as opportunities arise, according to gifting Compensation & Application This position offers a competitive salary and full benefits package.
