Lake Baldwin Church (PCA) is a church near the heart of Orlando. The aim of the church is to be biblically faithful, gospel centered, and missional in our city. Qualifications 1. Godly character including a vital, humble walk with Christ, pursuing personal holiness 2. Gifted in preaching; experience in personal ministry of evangelism and discipleship 3. Strong marriage; both spouses have a heart for the church 4. Relational; enjoys people 5. Healthy work ethic; enjoys the work of the church 6. Aligns well with LBC culture: faith oriented, cultivates community, gospel-shaped view of spiritual formation and ministry; can lead people to spiritual growth; has an outward face, i.e. enjoys and spends time with nonbelievers 7. Experience leading a team, department, organization and/or strategic plan 8. Is a good cultural fit for Winter Park and greater Orlando 9. Reformed understanding of worship; aligns with LBC worship philosophy 10. Teachable spirit; aware of strengths and weaknesses, having a healthy relationship with feedback Responsibilities 1. Personal spiritual formation and self care; tend to marriage and personal growth 2. Preach expository, Christ-centered sermons that are engaging and compelling 3. Provide organizational leadership for the church: team-based planning, oversight of ministry operations, leading the development and execution of the strategic plan 4. Pastoral care: get to know the flock; practice hospitality 5. Lead and shepherd the elders and deacons 6. Lead the church staff: create an environment of development 7. Develop leaders: future elders and deacons; staff; and volunteers; equip the members for the work of the ministry 8. Engage in a personal ministry of evangelism and discipleship 9. Public relations: represent LBC at quarterly Presbytery meetings, with local organizations, and like-minded churches 10. Mobilize congregational prayer 11. Nurture a culture of generosity 12. Weddings, funerals, and short-term pastoral counseling 13. Participate in connecting new people to the church: personal appointments, welcome lunches, membership classes 14. Create a culture of feedback
