HOPE CITY CHURCH JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Production Director Reports to: Member of the Senior Management Team Position Status: Full-time About the Role The Production Director leads the technical execution of Sunday services and major church events at Hope City Church. This role oversees the production environment, ensuring every service and event runs with excellence and without distraction. Success in this role looks like consistent, smooth services and events where production supports what God is doing in the room, not competes with it. Responsibilities Sunday Service Execution (Primary Focus) • Lead all production elements for Sunday services (audio, ProPresenter, cameras, live capture) • Build and manage ProPresenter for services • Prepare and test all AVL systems ahead of each service • Partner with worship and pastoral leadership to execute service flow • Maintain a consistent, distraction-free experience across all services Major Event Production • Lead production for key church events (e.g., Nights of Hope, Legacy Men’s, Sisterhood, and other all-church gatherings) • Plan and execute AVL needs based on the scope of each event • Partner with ministry leaders to align production with the purpose of the event • Scale production appropriately without overcomplicating environments AVL Systems & Technical Leadership • Oversee, maintain, and improve all AVL systems and environments • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively • Oversee installation of new AVL systems (personally or through contractors) • Identify and implement upgrades that improve the overall experience • Maintain strong working knowledge of all AVL systems, software, and integrations Lighting & Live Production • Execute lighting for services and events in a way that is clean, consistent, and repeatable • Oversee cameras and live capture systems to ensure reliability and quality • Maintain strong standards for live production environments Live Capture & Content Distribution • Oversee and execute live capture of Sunday services • Ensure high-quality recording of sermons and service elements • Edit and prepare weekly sermon content for online platforms • Upload and publish services or sermon content to YouTube and other platforms in a timely manner • Maintain consistent quality and delivery standards for all published content Dream Team Leadership • Recruit, train, and develop Production Dream Team members • Own scheduling and team management through Planning Center • Ensure all production positions are filled and confirmed ahead of services and events • Build and maintain clear, repeatable scheduling workflows • Create and maintain simple systems for onboarding and training Dream Team members • Lead frequent trainings to continue developing skills and consistency across the team • Host quarterly team meetings to invest in, align, and care for Production Dream Team members • Lead and develop a healthy, dependable, and growing Production Dream Team culture Ministry Support • Support production needs for other ministries as needed • Provide guidance and simple systems to help ministries execute well within existing production environments Additional Responsibilities • Publish weekly podcast • Attend weekly staff meeting and prayer • Participate in service and event planning conversations as needed Scope This role focuses on leading production for Sunday services and major church events, while overseeing the systems that support those environments.
