Grace Fellowship is a thriving, multi-cultural, and multi-generational church of more than 800 worshipers located just outside Athens, Georgia, home of the University of Georgia. We are passionate about helping people know God, grow in their faith, discover their purpose, and make a difference.
We are seeking a Spirit-filled Student Pastor with a passion for reaching and discipling middle and high school students. This pastor will provide vision and leadership for a growing student ministry through biblical teaching, authentic relationships, worship, discipleship, fellowship, and evangelism. The ideal candidate is a gifted communicator, relational leader, and team builder who will invest in students, equip volunteer leaders, partner with parents, and help students become lifelong followers of Jesus.

This person will recruit and develop volunteer leaders, partner with parents in the spiritual formation of their students, and intentionally build a culture where every student is known, valued, discipled, and challenged to grow as a follower of Jesus.
As a member of our pastoral team, the Student Pastor will play a key role in advancing the mission of Grace Fellowship by investing in the next generation. Our pastors, staff, and church family are committed to prayerfully supporting the person God calls to this role as they fulfill God's calling on their life.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
LEADERSHIP
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the student ministry, including Sunday school, Wednesday programs, and special events
- Lead students in their faith journey by teaching, preaching, mentoring, and discipling them
- Design and implement engaging programming, such as weekly meetings, Bible studies, retreats, service projects, and mission trips
- Recruit, train, and equip volunteers to assist with student ministry activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
- Partner with parents to support their children's spiritual development and maintain consistent communication
- Manage the youth ministry budget, maintain records, and handle other administrative tasks
- Encourage and equip students to share their faith and engage in community outreach
- Leads the Student Arts program and Student Worship Teams
TEACHING
- Prepare weekly sermons that proclaim the Gospel of Christ to students
- Work with the Discipleship Pastor to develop Sunday School goals, strategies, and curriculum
- Work with Discipleship Pastor to recruit and train small group leaders
INCARNATIONAL MINISTRY
- Visit local targeted middle and high schools weekly for lunch with students
- Support students in their extra-curricular activities (ball games, band, and graduations)
- Be consistently present in students’ lives
- Equip students to share the Gospel with their friends
COMMUNICATION
- Provide ongoing strategy for parent involvement in youth ministry planning, programming, communication, and evaluation
- Maintain clear communication with students, parents, and leadership teams
ADMINISTRATIVE/OTHER
- Maintain accurate database files on all students, leaders, and their families
- Manage the annual youth ministry budgeting process and daily financial administrative details
- Work with Grace Fellowship’s staff to coordinate events and activities
- Participate in continuing education and training in the area of youth ministry
Education and Experience
- Preferred Graduate or current student of a Bible College (Degree in Theology, Christian Education or Youth) or equivalent work experience in student ministry
- Must demonstrate strong working knowledge of computers and proficiency in software programs, including Microsoft Office applications, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database systems
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills, including active listening.
