Winder FBC is a multi-generational, growing church east of Atlanta, Ga. We are passionate to reach our community with the hope of the gospel and believe our worship through song is a pivotal part of our Sunday morning experience in doing that. The role of Worship Pastor will be to provide direction for the church in all music and worship ministries. We are seeking a worship pastor to lead, with our worship band, our two morning services at 9:30am and 11am. Our services are stylistically, more contemporary worship music driven, although our 9:30am service usually incorporates 1-2 hymns as well. This candidate will work closely with our Lead Pastor, staff, and music and production teams to help create a worship experience that draws people into the presence of God and aligns with the vision and mission of Winder FBC. Primary Responsibilities 1. Worship Service Leadership - Lead Sunday morning worship services with excellence, focusing on preparation and congregational engagement. - Collaborate with the Senior Pastor to align worship services with the broader church vision. - Lead and manage midweek rehearsals to ensure musical excellence and spiritual preparation. 2. Worship Team Development - Recruit, audition, and develop volunteer musicians, vocalists, and tech team members. - Disciple team members spiritually, fostering a culture where worship leaders are worshipers first, musicians second.Pastoral Ministry Through Worship - Foster a culture where worship ministry is not a performance, but a pastoral act of leading people to encounter God. - Connect personally with the congregation to ensure worship services are contextually appropriate for the church’s culture and mission field. - Participate in pastoral care as needed, particularly with worship team members.
