The FBC Butler Children’s Ministry is a vital ministry in our church that consists of children in grades K-6. Our mission is to partner with parents in making disciples that love Jesus, think and live like Him. Teaching them to walk faithfully with the Lord as they develop their faith through our consistent Christlike ministry.
The Children’s Minister provides vision, leadership, and direction for our Children’s Ministry.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Pastor, lead our children’s ministries including Sunday AM Kid’s Worship, Wednesday Nights, and Special Events, Sunday Nights for Kids. Also to include VBS, Fall Festival, and other family events.
- Recruit new, train, and support our kid’s volunteers
- Research and select age-appropriate curriculum that teaches biblical truth, challenges their faith and aligns with SBC doctrine.
- Create and maintain a safe, secure, and loving environment for all children. Review and develop polices specific to the children’s ministry
- Build relationships with children and families to encourage spiritual development at home, also providing for those children that don’t have Godly homes.
- Meet and coordinate with church staff to integrate children’s ministry into the overall mission of the church.
- Manage the children’s ministry budget and resources each year making recommendations that will grow the ministry and its effectiveness.
- Communicating consistently with parents, volunteers, and church leadership is key.
We want to impact our community for the cause of Christ, and we want our Children’s Ministry to be frontrunner in leading kids to salvation first, then to share that Good News with their friends and family. We want the next generation of followers of Christ to have an immediate impact on their culture.
If called to be a pastor, must meet the requirements of an elder/pastor/overseer, a male as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:2-7 and Titus 1:6-9 and according to our BF&M.
