Preschool Ministry Director
Purpose: FBC Kids Ministry exists to Partner with Parents to Help Kids Go Love, Go Serve, and Go Share!
Position Type: Full-time (40 hours / salary)
Reports To: Executive Pastor
Qualifications
- Growing and vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to the mission and values of FBC
- Ability to galvanize, equip, and shepherd teams of volunteers and leaders
- Spiritual gifts including leadership, administration, and hospitality
- Strong relational skills with parents, volunteers, and children
- Experience serving in ministry with preschool-aged kids (staff or volunteer)
- Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate ministry practices
- Ability to organize systems, set goals, and implement ministry processes
- Calm confidence in God’s faithfulness during challenges and change
Discipleship & Leadership
- Recruit, train, and shepherd adult and student volunteers serving in preschool ministry
- Provide spiritual encouragement and leadership development for volunteers
- Build meaningful relationships with preschool families
Ministry Vision & Development
- Cast vision for preschool ministry aligned with FBC’s Next Generation strategy
- Collaborate with Kids Ministry staff to maintain continuity across ministries
- Develop annual goals and evaluate ministry effectiveness
- Encourage ministry engagement with families in the church and community
Programming & Curriculum
- Plan and implement gospel-centered, developmentally appropriate curriculum and programs for Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, VBS and special events.
- Equip volunteers and parents with tools to disciple preschoolers
- Maintain welcoming and engaging preschool ministry environments
- Participate in Family Dedication
Administration
- Schedule volunteers and communicate regularly with ministry teams
- Recruit and onboard new volunteers
- Supervise paid childcare workers
- Develop and manage preschool ministry and childcare budgets
Safety & Child Protection
- Ensure full compliance with the FBC Branson Child Protection Policy (CPP)
- Oversee volunteer screening, training, and safe ministry practices
- Maintain secure check-in procedures and safe environments for children
Other Responsibilities
- Ensure ministry spaces are hospitable, outward facing and well kept.
- Maintain a ministry culture grounded in prayer and relationships
- Participate in staff meetings and annual staff retreat
- Assist with church-wide initiatives that support the mission of FBC Branson
